Solid Sokoban game! Neat graphics, great sound effects, and creative puzzles.

Really good work. I got all 10 levels solved

Great puzzles. That 8th puzzle took me forever but I got it in the end. A drawback of this sokoban ruleset is that it's a bit confusing. I finished it and I can't say for sure what the ground breaking rules are, but maybe that's just me. It's wooden box does no damage, you do 1 and steel does 2 right? In any case, love me a sokoban.

That was super satisfying! I usually suck at sokoban puzzles but this time I finished all levels! They're all really well designed and the last one made me feel like a genius when I figured it out! The graphics are super cute, controls are snappy and sounds are all very fitting. Congrats!

hey, it's really nice to see another sokoban game! switches being able to activate other parts of the level was something I definitely wanted to try, but due to various time mismanagement constraints we shipped out with a vanilla Sokoban ruleset.

the difficulty is really well paced! and some of the puzzles were really creative, like using a box to keep a door open.

@gibss They both only do 1 damage; the metal boxes do damage when they move to a tile, and the player does damage when they leave a tile. It had to be made like that to avoid the problem of the boxes destroying the tile the player is supposed to move to.

@fupi Nice! I'm glad the levels turned out good, after I left myself only a few hours to make them :D

@stellarluminant Thanks! I guess that's something for a post-jam version if you make one :)

Awesome puzzle game. Level 5 and 10 took the longest, but glad I got through. I have a feeling I cheated on Level 7 ... Thanks for letting me play!

Solid puzzle game, just the right amount of difficulty for a jam. Usually puzzle can get stale but not this one. Solid entry!

I good take on sokoban. Simple graphics...but still convey what is going on. Good entry.

I had fun! The simple graphics did well to support the gameplay. I was smooth sailing until level 6, then things got dicey.

Very cool game. Nice little challenge but not overly hard. Mechanics are introduced well without the need for a long tutorial. Nice work!

The game is working finely, the level design is good and the result is polished, the only downside i have is i think the connexion with the theme is thin, and the lack of a undo button could have been usefull! great entry

Also how is no one mentioning level 9, it was clearly the hardest haha

Cool game! I liked the mechanics, and the puzzles gradually increased in complexity, making a nice difficulty curve!
The pixel art could be improved, but they worked fine for this type of game!

Incredibly well designed puzzle game. You introduced the mechanics and then explored them in very clever ways. It had a nice difficulty curve and I found it to be quite fun. I hope this wins a category. Incredible work!

Sokoban is always a good idea. There is always something to do with this basic gameplay. Yours is really well done - smooth and neat. All works fine as expected. For the OLC::CodeJam 2021, a few weeks ago, I did a Sokoban too - and your game reminds me mine. You made a solid entry ++

Nice, I also made a Sokoban game, so it's cool to come across others who have done the same thing. And it's neat that we've taken our games in quite different directions.

This was really well designed. The collapsing floor mechanic is super simple, but really allows for a lot complexity. Different weight boxes were a great idea. The mechanics were tutorialized really well too - good difficulty curve. I'd say maybe the theme is a bit underutilized and this falls back on regular Sokoban a bit too much (last puzzle, for example). In that sense, level 8 was really good.

Presentation is very simple but effective.

Great job!

Gameplay is simple yet a lot of fun. Could be challenging to some people but it's not too hard. Great game and interpretation of the theme!

@doc-kaos Level 7 is actually there to show you the door-blocking mechanic used in the final two levels. Looking at it now I probably could have done it in a less obvious way...

@brads-space Thanks, I'm a big fan of the "invisible tutorial", nice to know it worked as intended :)

@magic-mike Yeah, it was supposed to be more focused on the floor-breaking mechanic, but I ended up straying away from it a bit too far when designing the levels.

@geckoo1337 Thanks, good Sokoban game too :)

@pdotjpg Thanks, I had a look at your game, still haven't finished it yet :D I agree the levels underuse the main mechanic, but I blame that on time pressure; the doors and box-pushing were just a lot easier to make levels with xD

I love how the puzzles teach about the mechanics without spelling out everything. Good work with the level progression, 10 took me a long time (funny how I managed to solved just when I was about to give up 😅)

Just out of curiosity, was this made in Puzzlescript?

@wendel-scardua Thanks, it was made in Godot, I didn't know about Puzzlescript, it looks like it would have been easy to make this game with though.

really solid! the puzzle design is great; I liked that one level (4?) that silently teaches you about how some floors crack twice. My favorite level was probably 9; really nice use of interactions to make a puzzle that seems impossible I would have liked some sort of level select. you should definitely check out puzzlescript (as someone commented earlier), it's really great for making sokobans like this!
