WAYWARD by cowboycolor
[NOTE: A lot of people have been commenting on the difficulty of this game, and I think the unfairness comes from a lack of explained controls. When you shoot the bow, hold the RT or LMB until the bow "clicks"; this means it is at full draw. Holding the LT or RMB allows you to perform a dash, and is recharged when you see the avatar "pop". These are both very important things to keep in mind when you face the Beasts. Keep your distance and shoot at full draw; happy hunting! -Cullen]

it's pretty subtle on the theme front until the end, but I'm glad you liked it :)
And i like this game art.
There are a few technical issues though.
The trees have some serious pop-in trouble in certain areas. They disappear and appear while clearly on screen.
You can also exit the level in a few places and just walk into the ever expanding whiteness.
The controls are pretty good too, combat is simple but challenging.
With more to see and to do, I could spend a lot of time in this world.
Really good job, congrats!
The atmosphere is fantastic, the background music coupled with the graphics makes it a very nice experience. Enjoyed a lot!
But graphics are certainly great!
Unfortunately Game Maker requires that you have an Apple Developer ID to export to Mac, and we don't have the money to drop on a jam game for it ;(
@Everyone else
Thank you very much for your kind words and support
Shifting dreamlike, finding arrows in the snow...
Visual style might be the best I've seen this Ludum.
The gameplay is perfect once I found out I can use the right mouse button to sprint.
Everything's so good I didn't want it to end. Bravo!
Without the bow fully drawn you don't really pierce them other wise they are one hit kills and go flying back.
Thanks for playing!
and what these people said may imply that i need to find back my(their)children?
very innovention Aesthetically and of a great inspiration to me锛宎lso about how to polish a core gameplay and let it highly fitting the ambient... find an easter Eggs in 3rd fighting haha~~
the ending to quickly... my feeling gets good but the Emotional still not release completely.... i think some little more narrate about what happend after the final fighting may be a method~?
on the other hand,i have been more concerned about the Layer sequence of these sprites~~ for example the mouse not upoon other enviorments'items ,unexpectedly beneath them~(but it seem also good sometimes~~ ) but the blood upon these grass i feel not harmony锛宎lso these beasts's~~
but the camera controll and the mouse controll very wonderful锛丷ich details~
Hope to collect this game when it more completely~
Would love to see some iterations on this!
FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation
ShaderName: shd_radial_blur
D3DXCompile failed - result
I assume that that is a problem with your graphics card being unable to use GLSL shaders, sorry bout that buddy!
