Gameplay
Gameplay Spoilers: First, your permanent platforms start to crumble. Then, the walls give way while dead-pixels fill your screen. Even your character isn't immune to the madness. By level 11, the game has fully broken down and you play like this for as long as possible. There are bits of story sprinkled throughout, all the way to level 300+.
How far can you get? Post your highest level reached in the comments

Your game is matching the theme really nice.
Mecahnics are simple enough, but can be abused in some way.
But still very simple and cute. Love it!
There probably should be more dangerous stuff for the player, but ,probably, I simply didn't reach those in my play.
Simple but new mechanics is nice.
I thought it was too easy at first, but it so fun after adding objects time limit.
I think this game was really cool. The tutorial was nice, introducing things one-by-one, and with a little story in the background. There were two little points of feedback I had of the tutorial though. The first is that it was not clear to me that I should be going up. I thought I was just trying to survive fro as long as possible. I figured it out in the end :) Another point is that fact that I could not continue from where I died during the tutorial. I could either start from the beginning, or skip the tutorial entirely. I think it would have been nice if I just respawned at the level I was during the tutorial level. Although I can completely understand if you disagree with me on this one! :P
The gameplay itself was great! I really liked the simple, yet engaging gameplay. There is often this struggle of staying on a breaking platform a bit longer, or trying to make this really hard jump. This was fun :D I also think pico8 games are in general really impressive because you have to make everything from the ground up. Great job :D
@lonewookie I agree & will get working on some music soon :musical_note:
@wuppos wow! thank you for the feedback -- I will add a note about traveling up and consider what to do about respawning during the tutorial. I agree that it would be annoying to have to keep replaying those sections... but I dont think the tutorial should have different rules than the main game. Perhaps I could make the starting platform much larger for the tutorial levels.
*"There is often this struggle of staying on a breaking platform a bit longer, or trying to make this really hard jump."* Yes! You really hit the nail on the head here.
Btw Level 31 is a great run :D
A stressful game that fits the theme well.
