​FlipFlopHop Bop to the tippy top to get your gear back.

How hard can it be for one flippy boi?

You can only press space to jump forward and WASD to tilt. Use your mouse to aim where the player is looking when he's upright. In case you get stuck or just want to reset, press O.

  • Textures were made in Aesprite
  • Models were created using the Unity packages ProBuilder and Polybrush together
  • SFX was created in SFXR

This Ludum Dare was an absolute SCRAMBLE for me. This is my second time participating in it, and it was definitely a blast. I was a bit ambition at the start like the terrain you play on in the game is entirely generated on runtime with a bunch of fun noise/randomness, so each​ person's session may slightly differ!

Fun idea, love the presentation style (especially the starting screen). Though had some difficulties with the controls. It didn't really feel like I ever was in control of the movement, but maybe I just need some practice.

Cute game, I like the art. I couldn't get very far though, it seems nearly impossible to control, at least for me.

I'm not usually a fan of these kind of games but you got me with the penguin. Maybe get some dynamic objects in here - might be fun to knock down a tree or something!

@john-luke-lusty Honestly I had SO MANY more ideas that I didn't get to get in, I'm just glad I got the ending thing at the top and the billboard at the start! The biggest thing I wanted to add for more unstableness was wind physics, but cut that out of scope. Also I was hard debating between making it a penguin or a goat, but the penguin just felt right.

Really simple but fun game, one of those games you just have to finish. Got 7.21 my first try, music was catchy to go along with it and I think moving and tilting instead of normal movement made it work with the theme really well. More people need to play this lol

Really silly, fun game! I do enjoy it when a game is frustrating to control but in an enjoyable way such at is here. Solid gameplay loop with really suiting and fantastic art direction!

The concept is really cute. I wonder what the back story about using a penguin surrounded by so much green is..!

Love the overall vibe I get from this :) The frustration of falling down after a bad jump is intense hahaha

@xhadie I honestly agree simple things really are, I've played it a couple times over myself to try to better my own time (best on record for me is 6:06!) and it's just simplistic in a nice way I feel personally. The penguin had a 50/50 chance of being a goat... buuut I decided hopping works much better for an island/rock"hopper" sorta penguin. It kinda hearkens back to some of my old projects which involve penguins as well!

I love the models and the ideas really fun, but I kinda feel bad for my little penguin. I couldn't for the life of me managed to get him up the hill :laughing:

Game is hilarious. Love the penguin model and the absolutely dorky physics. Graphics aren't too bad either, and the boppy music contributes to the overall feel of the game. Nicely pulled together.

That would be a fun game if I didn't fall lol.Perhaps the terrain generated according to rules would be more interesting.By the way, start menu and penguins are so cute:D

Yooo another penguin game, love the little helmet! Fun game but I don't know whether to laugh or cry when I get close to the end and just tumble down :D
