Bridge is Out by sslees

Very cool physics. Good job!

I played to level 3. One quick and easy change you could make that I feel like would be a game changer is just having some sort of preview of the piece you're about to drop. Maybe in the shape of a cross since you can drop a flat or up and down piece

This was a neat game! I was surprised I wasn't punished by spamming the buttons and creating a god-awful pile for the poor robot to summit, but it made for a fun experience either way. Well done

Unlimited block numbers make this game easy. I can add blocks under the feet of the robot to just go through all the levels.Good thing is that the graphics is cute and physics of robot is cool.

Neat game! Not much challenge, but a cool proof of concept if nothing else

The physics and art are quite nice, but as others have pointed out, it's much easier to spam than it is to actually try to build a bridge. Not that I'm complaining :)![bridge.png](///raw/6ed/42/z/47f7e.png)

Thanks everyone for playing! I wish I could have implemented a limited number of blocks in time, or even better, a way to gain money each level and use that to spend on materials. I had so much fun working on the tank tread physics that I think I enjoy the "climb the junk heap" approach more than designing a better bridge.

This was a cool entry! They physics system setup was cool but the game was really hard I found, so I also would spam parts to get my way haphazardly to the exit. Cool submission though!

The art is really cute. I love Wall-E. The tank treads worked very well. In general the controls were awesome except for the fact that I have no idea what I'm placing where, and I had to spam to win. I think instead of limiting the number of blocks - you should totally embrace the "climb the junk heap" aspect. It is unique and fun. Maybe you could add a level where you have to climb up from the ground floor up to the 4th. Maybe add more oomph to the treads, and a jetpack. Maybe only the robot can throw trash. Just thinking how you can really amplify the trash aspect. Still, nice spin on the theme. Thank you for the game.

This was fun. A simple idea but worked well and the art was very nice. Wish I had some sort of visual on where the bridge piece would appear before clicking.

Fun, creative idea, though I found I could just spam to make a "usable" bridge pretty easily. Good job, though! :)

I like this. The controls and physics felt really good. The stacking was really fun. As others mentioned, I could spam my way out of anything. This game could use some type of score to incentivize efficiency.

Fun and good take on the theme!

Others have mentioned it already, but it would probably be a good thing to limit the number of objects we use to build the bridge or at least make it affect a score (ranks C to S for example).

Would also have expected to "die" if I fall on the ground, because otherwise there is a way to kind of cheat :D (see screenshot below).

Anyway this is a good compo entry overall, with a good foundation that you can improve in a post-ldjam version :)

This was a fun activity! As others have said, maybe not all that challenging, but i had fun playing it. It's a really fun sandbox. I like how the robot tilts quite a bit but rarely (never in my case) falls over - gives the game a great "unstable" feel without being frustrating. Nicely done!

I had fun with the physics! Of course limiting the number of blocks would make it more challenging, but I also like how making it an unlimited sandbox brings all the possibilities of unexpected solutions that surprise yourself.

The robot looks cute.

Cool physics game! I know there was no real disadvantage to place as many pieces as you want, but there *was* a goal and you could get stuck if you didn't pay attention, so it felt like a challenge. We used a similar character as the player, woah  Keep up the good work!

What a cute WALL-E lookalike robot. The backgrounds are nice. The game is really fun to play, but you can cheat by just spamming the horizontal bars. You could fix that by limiting the amount of material available for each bridge.
