Robo PhotographVR by Request

[raw]
made by Request for Ludum Dare 49 (JAM)

You're a robot let loose with a camera in a lovely Autumn park. What will you choose to capture in film?

Take pictures of yourself or your surroundings with a handheld camera! Or, enter photo mode to fly around the scene, taking photos from a third-person perspective. Once you're happy with your pictures, you can use the Save Machine to export your pics to a PNG file!

Note: This game is for PCVR, and requires SteamVR to be installed and running.

I will put this to the side to play later, I'll need to set up my VR, but I always appreciate someone making something for VR!

Awesome job! I don't know how you made a vr game in such a short time, but you did it! I REALLY like the graphics in this game, what program did you use to make them? 9/10 great game!

I also noticed that you haven't given any ratings. The more ratings you give, the more ratings you can get on your game. Just a little tip ;)

Hi, I tried to run this game on my Quest 2 using Airlink/Virtual Desktop (tried both Oculus and SteamVR OpenXR runtime). Both of them doesn't work. I was stuck at the height calibration stage. The finger of the avatar does move with my controls, but the avatar itself stays in a t-pose and is not following my movement (I assume it should), and pressing B doesn't proceed. If you have a solution to that please let me know.

@devparty Thanks! All of the graphics for this game (aside from the player model) were done in blender. Thanks!

@kyboon Sorry to hear that! The finger movement and T pose before calibration is expected behavior (finalIK bug that I didn't have time to fix). You should be able to calibrate as soon as the instructions come up by pressing one of the face buttons on the left controller - I don't have a Quest so I can't test it out myself. I'll take a look to see if I can figure anything out, but I likely can't provide much support here. Sorry!

Tried on an oculus rift, nothing registers as the B button for the calibration stage for oculus touch controllers. Ping me if you fix it as I would love to play!

I love the art style you went for, but unfortunately I don't have a VR set. Good job!
