I was confused at first but I got it eventually, I had similar idea about climbing a mountain at first but I did simething else, anyway I think it was a fun game. nice work

A little frustrating at first, but once I figured it out, became pretty fun! Wish there was a soundtrack, but overall a really good job! Consider changing the resolution on itch.io, the game extended below my screen and I could jump on the rocks there, even though I couldn't see them.

Umm that was interesting... Kind of enjoyed it and towards the end realized it was just easier to jump like a crazy person back and forth and you climb pretty decent. Pretty difficult to control though.

The game was really hard at first, but I eventually figured it out. It would have been nice with some more variety in backgrounds and graphics, but it was a fun little experience.

the first runs are pretty hard, but once you start to learn the powers of spamming space things become more fun. Really liked that you cant just stay put in the platform or you fall.

This game is a nightmare and I love it. I understand the technical issues mentioned above, but for me they all create an insanely charming cacophony of madness.

Unlike the othe commentors i never figured out how to climb properly. I tried jumping to other rocks but they soon fell below the the screen as well! Aww well, pretty cool submission!

Very hard to play at first but becomes fun later on. I wish there was a soundtrack.

Bit of a learning curve at first but the ability to quickly jump back in after a death lends itself well to this game. A soundtrack would have been nice but I did laugh when I first heard the squeak noise the goat makes when you jump. Well done overall!

Very challenging little Icy Tower-style jumper. I found that the spinning mechanic only really mattered initially, on the starting platform, which sometimes made it unfairly easy to roll off that platform and lose the game instantly. Other than that, with some tweaks to the mechanics, the speed, and the spawning of rocks, this could be a very enjoyable arcade game. I also wish I could see my score at the end of a run. Congrats on your first jam! :tada:

Fun game, soon I noticed that jumping made the goat more "stable" I started to jump all the time. A BG music would add to the game's immersion. Nice interpretation of the theme, congrats!

Once I figured out the sinking rock is not a glitch and that I'm supposed to exploit smaller ones it became fun (should have added that to instructions). I could never survive for longer than 20 seconds but I do appreciate the idea and setting, cool graphics as well.

Polishing the RNG and making sure there is a viable path through the intended platforming is going to be essential to bringing this closer to its original vision.

The RNG could use some work but since it's your first game, it is a relatively polished game despite it's flaws. It didn't crash, the platform works, and if the double jump feature was not supposed to happen when you touch the rock, well you've certainly found a way to make that part fun, very innovative. Good job on your first entry!

What can I say? The game is just perfect!

it was amazingly paced! really pushes you to the edge.! only if i was able to go up through the rocks i can see myself pushing it to the limit.! and who knows maybe there is a dam all the way up there and i can swim in the lake.. real good game this was very fast and innovative!

- having rocks one way collision
- having a leaderboard
- and maybe adding salt particles for my goat to collect
- aaand fixing the random spawn to a more refined version

i can easily see this game played a lot

Nice and fun infinite runner / doodle jump game, love the goat, but would be nice to polish the game a bit, like to have a distance counter, and may be some more mechanics, like boosters, not only instand death encounters. Nice one anyway! Thanks!

Congratulation on your first LD game! I wish the game was more balanced, and it could have been more polished, but making a game in such a short amount of time it is awesome anyway! Great job!

Coincidentally, I'm a spinning goat in real life.

But seriously, nice first entry for Ludum Dare. Entertaining concept with an idea that seems like the kind of absurd that could work well for a mobile game. Things definitely felt a bit uneven and unbalanced (but hey, we're a spinning goat), but the core idea of the game works well. See if you can run with some of the suggestions others have given and turn this into something awesome. Looking forward to seeing your future jam entries.
