Finally, fantastic job on the assets - I expected the game to be mostly driving (reusing the same assets effectively to create the road). So I was taken by surprise several times to see you introduce a new scene/stage like 3 or 4 times throughout the game. Beautiful work and an excellent delivery on the theme :)
i encountered two bugs where the car wouldn't start again after stopping: at the gas station and after the accident.
Nice entry, good job !
**The mood and atmosphere of this game are top notch!** I think this is one of the most engrossing games I've played this jam. I have to give you so many points for the graphics and the atmosphere. Really creepy and trippy.
However, I felt that the game was **a bit too slow**. Even controlling the car felt a bit awkward. I think tuning the movement would go a long way into making this feel snappier.
I also felt like **the writing detracted from the atmosphere**. I understand English isn't everyone's first language, so I am not talking about grammar or sentence structure here. Rather, I am talking about the dialogue felt forced and out of place for the context it was in. The responses didn't feel genuine. I think even reducing dialogue would have sold the mood a bit better.
Other than that, I would see **I really liked spending time on this game**. It was a lot longer than I thought it would be, and the fact that this was done in 3 days is mighty impressive. Congratulations on making such a well put together game in such a short time. **Well done!**
I really loved this strange experience. I remember another game like yours which I played a few years ago, and I really thought that you made this one too - **Paratopic**. The same aesthetic, the same effects, the same stange story - a driver under the rain... Maybe I am wrong, but I want to say that your game is amazing. What a mood! Not too freaky. I really had fun playing. One of my favorite entries for the 49th LudumDare. Well done ++
The visuals and sound design are definetly something special.
I was the whole time afraid there would be someone sitting next to me (or behind me) in the car.
I really wish to see more come out of this.
Solid work just in 3 Days.
Good job!
THE. LIGHTING. I. CANNOT.
narrative game. Well done.
The interactions were really fun and the game design made it clear where you had to go next.
Fantastic. Thanks for making this trip!
I don't see how it ties into the theme that much and the gameplay is pretty shallow, but the writing pacing, tension building sound design and (again) mood are just on point.
If it helps: I used the fixed version on a fully up-to-date Windows 10 machine.
The game itself is kind of slow and boring, sorry. Nothing to do except drive, interact with a couple dialog boxes, walk a bit, interact with dialog, repeat, end. The car accident was a nice jump scare moment, but other than that, everything just falls a little flat.
Still a very good effort! Good job!
Creepy out of 10.
