The Eye of Glower-On by UkuleleFury
https://youtu.be/PsbyLwgKQr0
In this point-and-click game, you control the vast power of an unstable mountain.
The heroes of the land aim to ascend Mount Oh No to destroy the vessel of your vast power! You must CRUSH THEM! And send them flying! They will FEEL YOUR ANGER!! They think they can scale Mount Oh No?? Not while The Eye of Glower-On is watching!
How the game fits the theme
The mountain is unstable! You use frequent earthquakes and falling boulders to stop those pesky heroes in their tracks!

Controls
Tap, tappity, tap tap!
Mouse or touch!
Software used
- Godot: Game engine.
- Aseprite: Pixel-art image editor.
- Bfxr: Sound effects editor.
- DefleMask: Chiptune music tracker.
- Surfacer: Godot Asset Library package.
- Scaffolder: Godot Asset Library package.
Notably, this is what the pre-existing Godot Asset Library packages add: - Surfacer - This mostly adds pathfinding. - Parsing tile maps into platform graphs of navigable surfaces. - Calculating paths through the graph and executing movement through these paths. - Annotating stuff relating to these paths. - Scaffolder - This mostly adds the GUI and screen-layout you see before actually starting a level.
I livestreamed the development on Twitch!

Post-submission bug fix
- I fixed a critical bug the morning after submitting.
- The bug:
- The problem was that my spawn-scheduler was tracking time from when the app started, rather than from when the level started.
- So, whenever you tried playing a second level, all the heroes would spawn all at once, and the game would freeze.
- The fix:
- I just had to update my
current_timecheck to subtract the level-start time!
- I just had to update my

The forces of good surely felt my wrath as i pounded them with countless tremors, a hailstorm of meteors and they trembled by the sight of my orc army!(though I'm having a harder time then I'd like to admit with lvl 2 haha)
The sounds you've made are incredible(I'm biased to anything midi or bit-like), fits really well with the all-around aesthetics of the game, and the soundtrack is just :kissing: :ok_hand:
Gotta do some other stuff, but i have just put a solid 30-45 minutes into this haha, will definitely get back to it
I stumbled upon a game breaking bug on lvl 2, fixed itself after a restart though, but it was unplayable until i did. After loosing, every time i tried restarting the lvl it would load in, and immediately go GGWP you lost.

And thank you so much for the error screenshots! I definitely didn't have time to playtest this enough, and I'll take a look!
Auto jumping enemies looks like magic for me)
My respect to SFX and burning eye animation
The only two things You could have change:
- Do not trigger gameover the instant a guy lands on the last plateform. It happened that I clicked on the button the same frame an enemy landed on this last plateform, managed to knock him off, but still got a gameover. A bit unfair I think x)
- And maybe add some indications when you have to click on the screen to trigger the meteor
Other than that, the game is very good! It looks good, the sounds and musics are really well done, it feels like you did a lot for only 48h hours. It is very polished!
  Good work!
Great idea, love the thematic approach to LOTR.
you are so talented to do such a polished game especially as a COMPO entry.
i loved everything here, i usually not into point and click but this was so addicting and fun, the simple graphics are very consistent and your UI\menu's are beautiful as heck, the sound fits well and hit the spot. the game idea is so innovative and fun! amazing job dude.
Some things i suggest though:Instead of losing when they reach the top level i feel like they should hit the eye and give the player last chance to save himself kind of.
also when i started playing it took me a bit to realize how to play and see the buttons to do stuff xD
edit:also a fast forward button can go a long way here
BTW if you ever decide to expand on this one and make it a whole game on steam, i will be your first buyer :D
really had great time with it. still stuck on level 2 but planning to finish it after writing this feedback haha.
I really really love it, you have a lot of talent to do such a thing in a compo :D
Would be nice to finish but the third level crashed 2 times for me.
Also the orc is very op in the second level XD
I would definitely play a full version of this game.
Do you use any plugins for godot ? Specifically for the intro screen or config menu.
My only complain that killing often goes offscreen (orc runs toward enemy) and it wasnt obvious that I need to click mouse to hurl rocks.
Nice job!
