As always with ldjam a lot was cut and unfinished between the initial idea and final submission, but the fun is in the journey!

Game Instructions:

WASD or arrow keys to move camera.

click on buttons and then on the field to use medicine on patients and place structures.

Use the bell to call patients into your clinic.

Patients have instabilities in 4 emotions that grow over time

if a patient reaches 100 they will die and you will lose prestige. when prestige is lower than zeor - you lose

You gain money for patients inside your clinic

Stablity Serum reduces instability of a random emotion in a patient (you might not get any effect sometimes if it randoms an already stable emotion)

Sleeping Tablets/Pills reduce current emotion values but increase instability (These do not work in the LD build, fixed in post LD version)

Beds and foods stalls reduce current emotion values of patients that use them

Stabilizers are "aura" items - they reduce growth of 1 emotion around them. click the stabilizer to switch the setting.

Update: 2021-10-09 Uploading a Post-LD build with bugfixes and indication of strongest emotion on patients (more info on itch.io page)

I wish there was a non-windows version. Cannot really try it out without extra effort.

I really liked the theme here! Reminds me of old Theme Hospital games, but spooky

I think the tower-defense-hospital idea is great, and I think this could be refined into a proper game. Right now though I think the gameplay loop is a bit confusing - it's hard to tell what patient requires what aura (maybe some sort of icon above their head would be useful?) and it's quite hard to tell where they're going to move, so it's very fiddly to play, especially with more than one patient. Good idea overall, just needs some refining :)

cool idea, but its really hard to react to the patiens needs - i also had the feeling nothing I do really helps. But at least I always have enough beds to take in new patiets^^

Really enjoyed playing, some extra feedback on what patients need would really help this one

I really liked the concept for this, it's fun to play but the lack of feedback did make it challenging! I liked the UI and how the instructions were presented. It took a moment to get my head around what to do, but I had fun when I figured it out!

Overall a really great game idea that stood out as being unique. With a bit of extra polish to help make patients and their needs easier to distinguish, it could be a game I'd see myself playing! Congrats on a great entry, I enjoyed it :)

I really liked the look of the UI, and thought the sound/music was very appropriate, but think I might have been doing something wrong iwth the gameplay. While I was able to "cure" a couple patients (as in, reduce their instability to 0), they just kinda walked around continuing to generate money, and it didn't go towards the cured total in the ui. Is there a final step that I'm missing, or is something wonky?

My issues aside, I like seeing these management/sim games at LD, I wish there were more like this!

@triggthediscovery yes it's bugged, I looked through the code and found that I forgot to check for cured patients :) uploading a post-LD version with some improvements and fixes for anyone intersted

Nice game, the concept is well thought out, but like others have said, there needs to be more feedback on the patients. overall, nice work!
