Over The Course Of A Day by Blobo

[raw]
made by Blobo for LD33 (COMPO)
"Monster" is a reletive term.

You play the role of a big buff guy who ruins the day of jimmy, a young child.

From 6 in the morning to midnight, you get to spill his milk, ruin his social life, and more!

If you're stuck, try clicking things. that always helps.

or if you REALLY can't figure out what to do, i made a video

*Play with fantastic graphics, or you go stupid-fast. this is my 2nd ludum dare, so i just learned about this. you have been warned!*

for those of you who got the error, it's fixed.

Nice music, would be nice to have check points rather than restarting the game.

Silly, I like it! Nice audio, and I did feel like a monster, so, well done.

Neat idea, clever take on the theme. A lot of the solutions were clever, but I wish there was a way to restart the level.

Fantastic game, I really felt like an asshole. I agree that the only thing that could be added is a checkpoint system

The character moves like insanely fast on my pc, almost unplayable. Like I acidentally press a direction for a split second too long and the character goes flying offscreen and won't come back. I like the concept though and how it mixes up a bunch of different mini game type ideas.

Really simple and funny. You do feel like a jerk playing it but the music keeps you pumped to continue. Could have done with checkpoints, wasn't so funny replaying it all to get back to where you were.

Good music and very funny. I had some trouble with moving incredibly fast though.

It did play for me, but some of the scenes were glitchy and unresponsive. It was an all right idea. The best parts were the humor and look of it.

Oh god, poor kid ! But that was fun... ^^ and I love the music ! It was a little difficult to move the monster (he moved so fast).
Great game and nice job !

Tip to future players: Setting graphics quality to "Fantastic" might slow the game down enough to make it playable.

anyway, I have only one thing to say about this game

Very simple, but I spent most of the game smiling, does that make me a bad person?

Ooooh gooood this is AWESOME! I kinda had to figure out the controls (A + D + left mouse btn, for future players), but then it's really great funny story! Great job sir!

Psst, I've made a game with story too, check it out if you want :)

Thanks for letting us play your game!

What I liked:

I found a couple of the little vignettes genuinely funny, I particularly liked driving away in the bus and punting Jimmy off the hill. Also enjoyed the mix of mechanics that you attempted, like the rhythm-game bit.

Areas to improve:

Like a few people have mentioned, it would be really good to have a checkpoint system, so if you fail to complete a scene, you could have another shot straight away.

Congrats on your second Ludem Dare! Well done!

I was skeptical at first, but I admit I grinned through the whole thing. Liked the girl's reaction too. Great creativity!
