I think having a directional attack would do a lot of good, otherwise the game seems to be more about obstacle-dodging than fighting. You may also want to consider uploading a .zip instead of a .7z if you want more people to play it!
Also, i said earlier that the fact that the game was infinite was a good point, but the level is always exactly the same, and so it can feel a bit repetitive. Maybe you should have done a limited number of levels but handcrafted and unique. Overall, the game has potential, the art style can certainly be used in really cool ways, but it does not use the good ideas you had well enough, especially with the levels : for example procedurally generating levels could have solved this issue, or just handcrafting them.
The attack direction is actually all around the player in a circle, but the graphics make it look like it's just upwards. Didn't have time to make multiple attack animations unfortunately!
Plenty of polish left to do, but thanks so much for your feedback!
The cave itself has a cool look ,it reminds me of Paper Mario in how the characters are all 2D, but the environments are more or less 3D. I think with a bit of polish, it can be really solid, but again, kudos on the attempt!
I would recommend the following:
1. Lerp, or smoothdamp between your current position and your new position, for smoother movement.
2. Keep the direction of the animation, if I move down, it automatically looked up.
3. At least 3 types of enemies to give it some variety, they can be part of a specific biome.
Good luck!
I played through the game without realising you can attack. I stopped when the levels started looping.
Also an enemy would spawn on top of me when starting a level causing unavoidable damage.
Some use for the coins would have been good. I stopped collecting them after a while.
The wall collision was a bit rough. Getting stuck on flat walls was frustrating.
