Guide this mining-droid to the bottom! Well... Only if there is a bottom... Drill yourself down and collect resources to upgrade your machines. There are severall useful upgrades to reach your goal much quicker:

  • The diamond drill lets you drill by holding the left mouse button instead of clicking the blocks individually.
  • The laser drill is as quick as the diamond drill, but when you press the right mouse button, you can destroy a bigger radius. This will cost you energy!
  • The engine can be upgraded a few times. With each upgrade your fueltank gets a bigger capacity and you'll get more fuel from coal!

There are 6 different ways to play this game. By choosing one of the following settings you choose when the game ends: - play 500 seconds - play 1000 seconds - play 2000 seconds - reach layer 100 - reach layer 1000 - reach layer 2500

I found myself playing longer than I expected. It has a pretty therapeutic vibe to it for sure! However, because the map is so wide, I expected to be able to direct the droid left and right. I don't think that's possible however. I found myself wanting to pull it by the drill, which would make for an interesting mechanic.

@cinderblock thanks for playing!

I didn't want to add the ability to move, to avoid stripmining which makes it too easy.

However; you cán move the droid by removing the layer under him and let him bounce on the edge, which makes it roll on that removed layer.

Great use of 2d physics.

Addicting. I think would be better if you can hold mouse and "spear" into the rocks, just so it's a bit less of clicking. Also agree with cinder a bit of control over rolls is something i wished for multiple times :)

Overall very well done! Congrats!

This game was really quite addictive especially when you can hold the left mouse button it just gets so fun! Really nice work on it!

Something I was questioning though was moving the drill, it's fun to have to mine blocks to get it to move left and right but sometimes a bit tedious and could've done with an upgrade maybe to allow the player to use arrow keys? Either way brilliant work! :D

Really satisfying to play once you get the higher drills.

Really cool game. I liked the idea of using only physics for your movement.

You really nailed the feeling of progression. I was about to give up, when I could finally afford the laser drill.

And then the same thing again with the laser. When got the laser it was such an amazing feeling. Destroying so many blocks at once is just so much fun!

The art-style is simple, but good looking. I really like the look of the UI-windows.

The biggest problem for me was the performance. At some times it felt like I had only 2-3 FPS which can make the game feel a bit slow and tedious.

But other than that it was really cool!

@cambryx Thank you for the review! The performance was even worse, because with every layer it creates another random one. After too much lagg, I cut the map in half.

Driving/steering with digging is weird at first but then just flow with it ;p
It's very seamless. You don't have to worry about driving and digging.
You just do both at the same time.

Kinda clicker style, and i would give more resources per node.
Since it took me some time to get the upgrades.

I like this game and the title ;p

Always like digging games. The graphics looks polished and complete. However the control feels weird. Would be good to simply drive with WSAD. Also there could be a bigger variations of ores. Not the types but sizes, so that there is an incentive to go more left or right to get that one huge diamond.
Anyway, good starting mechanics overall.

Great game! Liked the idea of not directly moving the droid, added a nice challenge! The only thing I struggle a little to get used too is the mouse/drillpoint offset, I always try to guide the drill by it's point, but the mouse was behind, other than that, it was really fun to play!

Cool game design! Good works! However, I can feel some lags when play... Maybe you should try to add some audios that could make the game more vivid. Still, pretty innovated idea! I had a nice game experience. Keep the excellent jobs!

Cool game :) I liked how you had to make a path to keep rolling, and that the materials would disappear if not collected in time. The upgrades of the drill are quite helpful :)

With 500 seconds I was able to get to layer 319 and get the laser upgrade. :)

Some audio would add to the experience but overall it is fun game.

I enjoyed the circle/wheel physics as a change up, which dictated the strategy for how you should dig since it directly lead to your movement.

Nice job

Nice game, it was nice to set up a roll by mining the rocks further ahead before mining the rock directly beneath me to roll in the intended direction. Adding more ways to affect direction without full control might be a good area to look at to expand

Had a lil 'ugh' at the pun in the name when I first read it. Well done ;)

Grindy lil digger, a bit click-heavy in the beginning for my liking :)
Would be good to get some audio in there, with some drilly sounds.

@joror Yeah, I had no time, because I started to late, hahaha. Otherwise I'd add some sounds, haha

Cool game. The diamond and laser drills sounded cool, but the initial drill was so slow I did not make it to them. 100 resources seemed way to high to slowly keep clicking. I would prefer to see a game like this start out with the most fun drill you came up with, even if that meant there were no upgrades.
