Had a lot of fun with this one. I'm not sure if it was something I was doing wrong, but I found that quite a few levels I ended up just waiting for the tap to put out water until I reached some large number. I followed the game's advice and dug narrow channels that sloped gradually, but slightly wider canals seemed to make the number go up faster? Loved the visuals, voice acting, and music. I think an interesting idea could have been to make the player interact with the water more since they are a fish. Possibly requiring them to also stay hydrated, but making digging slower when underwater could be interesting? Really solid game as it stands though, and I'm not certain adding mechanics would actually improve this, its great as-is.

I really enjoied the design of the game. Moving liquids with a bulldozer is a very unique concept for this jam! The way the audio gets muffled when you go in the water is a nice touch. Great work all around!

Loved playing it. It took me some time to understand that you can dig under the fences. The narration and music are great, overall game looks nice and feels great. Nicely done!

Well that was unexpected! Fun game with outstanding audio.

Is this... a metaphor for going on beach holidays with alcoholic uncles?

What a great game! I was so sad, when I had to wait for the last fish to fill up and I knew I was already done :(
The voice over is super funny and the artwork I also like very much! The controls are very smooth as well. I wish I could play more levels though. Great game you came up with in such a short time! :-)

Great job on this one! The controls are a little baffling - I expected the digger to act like a treadmill vehicle - tank, but it felt a bit more like... I'm not quite sure - an eight-direction car? For the amount of time in the weekend, the voice overs and music are fantastic but there do seem to be a couple of possible audio bugs.

There's a constant hiss in the background that's louder then everything else, and doesn't seem to go away.

@devmerlin thanks. Yes we weren't sure to go tank or directional controls, maybe in future we can offer a choice of the two, it's like inverted controls in FPS.

I think that's the sound of raising the ground being stuck, maybe something to do with it being bound to the shift key and that not releasing properly. Thanks for reporting it.

Great game, the guy from here (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1002881859?t=01h08m03s) speaking.
I like the gameplay, I like how the water simulation works (especially in HTML!). Sound was amazing!
It was fun to play this one

The game is really fun, the graphics, sound, music and the water/sand stuff are just really nice, the only complaint I have is that it was mostly doing a tunnel, waiting, doing a tunnel, waiting, the obstacles were nice - but it feels like *something* is missing, other than that, I really liked it! hope you guys can expand on the concept at some point, some extra variety (random levels? random fish order?) and I would come back to it once in a while just to mess around!

Really great! The voice acting is excellent and the music is fantastic. I had a lot of fun digging trenches to direct the water. Probably one of the best entries I have played so far.

Best audio of any game I tested so far! Just really perfect music and voice acting. I really liked that the audio seemed to muffle when under water.

The graphics and general gameplay is great as well and it's just fun to drive around and dig water tunnels and watch the water. It does maybe get a bit too slow after a bit. Maybe there would be a good way to add enemies?

Very addictive, I think it could be a commercial game. Voices are fun (and also helpul to understand controls). The music fit well with gameplay, it give a good vibe.
Maybe add more effect when a fish is wet, it will be more juicy and the player will fell more rewarded.

Great game, keep going to create more levels :muscle:

What a fun game! Really strong Katamari/Nobi Nobi Boy vibes. Music is really upbeat and propulsive, and the voices are pretty funny. No real complaints, especially considering the timeframe. Would love to see some more objective variety/difficulty with longer development time. Fantastic!

Anyways at some point it just turned out to be about waiting.
But keep up the good work, man!

This is one of the best work I've seen. Very cool graphics style, very funny. The music is amazing. I really liked that when we are under water, the music is muted, it's very cool. Amazing work.

Everything fits together quite well, nice music and audio. Continuously giving advice with a voice over could probably get a bit tedious, but I feel you get away with it, because the game isn't very long after all.

I enjoyed the gameplay, but I feel you had to wait around quite a bit before the last two whales get enough water, which doesn't really add much to the challenge anyway, I get that you can make the water go faster by optimizing how you dig the path, but even when I had the number going really fast it still took a while. It definitely would be more interesting to experiment with different ways to get the water to the whale, rather than how to do it as efficiently as possible.

As for the theme, you can only dig so deep. It's more about digging a trench, making it longer and longer, not deeper and deeper.

Everything else that I haven't mentioned is great, very solid entry all in all!

Made me genuinley laugh out loud. the mechanics and implementation were solid and underpinned the humour. The audio was also really clear and well mixed. I loved this entry!

Super fun. High marks across the board. I think this would be really great with a controller for directional movement as I tend to get tripped up thinking "W" is move ahead rather than the upward direction. Anyway, awesome job on this.
