LOOP NOIR by g11

[raw]
made by g11 for Ludum Dare 48 (JAM)

LOOP NOIR turned out to be a little proof of concept. We had a clear vision of a small looped puzzle game with a murder scene and a conspiracy, but all we finished is 3 rooms. Room 3 is the last in the demo and it couldn't be finished.

It doesn't fit the theme... but the mood and art is fantastic. the way the menu is set up is very innovative. I really love the concept!

I loved the atmosphere and music, but I think it glitched at the second disk. Or i couldnt figure out what to do.

I really like this intpretation of the theme, going deeper and deeper into floppy discs. Add some narrartive around this concept and flesh out the mechanics (More investgaty stuff around the office in order to find more floppies perhaps?) and you'll have a fun little indie game.

This game has a cool idea behind it, I thought it fit the theme really well. This game definitely earns a high score on mood. One point of pain I had is that it is difficult to play this game with a laptop trackpad, maybe a way to automatically pick up would be nice.

Really nice atmosphere, impressive!

Game was laggy for me so it kinda ruined the experience but I loved the mood and interpretation of the theme, great job!

The game is overall really cool!!! I love how the scenes get moderner every level, but I think for the third level it's way to dark to see and search things. But the mood and music are awesome. GREAT JOB!

@evil-villain-games sorry we didn't have time to finish all the puzzles :(
Some of them will remain on a paper (not forever hopefully):
1. Chinese computer
2. Use of "load game" to solve puzzle
3. Jalousie in a bright room, to kill specular on your display
4. Cross-rooms puzzles -- where password or a phonenumber could be found in previous rooms

This idea is so cool, very good job! Gave me a lot of inspiration, AND I think adding more shows would be even better, very potential to develop into a full game!

Interesting idea, really reminded me of Inception. The old times private investigator vibes mixed with more modern artifacts (computers) really gives an interesting mood! Loved how the music changes smoothly between levels as well.

It is very buggy though, sometimes the camera glitched out and I had to restart the game. Also, is there a reason why the flashlight shuts down once dropped, and it is not possible to light it up again (leaving us in the dark)?

Anyway, you should develop the game further, there is something unique about it!
