Nice and fun, but keyboard controls are very non-intuitive. I press a wrong key all the time.

Pretty cool stuff. The music is good (although more songs would be nice of course) and the graphics are fitting as well. What would've been nice, though, is a more user friendly learning curve: first single strokes then two-key combos and so on. Also there is no chance to hit that 5-key combo, because the keys are not visible (sprites are overlapping).

Thanks for playing, glad you found it fun! The key presses were a tough one to balance in the time as we tried to set it up based on a qwerty keyboard to be played with two hands.

Thank you for the feedback, glad you liked the music, would loved to have put in a multiple song selection for sure!

You are definitely right with the learning curve, given more time it would be better to ramp it up over time.

Can you not see the all 5 sprites on the combo? The will overlap as its a quick one, but should be visible by the colour at least.

This plays very well, I actually felt the difficulty is about right.
But for those 5-note runs, it does look like a colored letter soup the first time you see it :). I think I first got through it more by memorizing the sequences, and telling them apart by first&last notes of the group, rather that recognizing each individual note on sight. But after some practice, it does seem to become easier to distinguish each of the notes.

Another random thought, it would be cool if that 5-streak meter was also represented visually somehow, like filling a bar, so that players could tell at a glance how many notes there's left to hit.

Awesome idea! Love the fun art and the catchy tune but the controls are bringing it down a lot. Arrow keys or numbers would have been less confusing.
Keep up the good work !

As a resident rhythm game player, I was pleasantly surprised when this turned out to be one. Took a while to get used to the chosen keys, but once it all set in it was nice and challenging and the beat was great.

Only thing I had trouble with was my twitchy fingers in between notes caused me to die a lot whoops.

We played it on stream, which you can view here: https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/88809110
