DMG-001 by Adry

[raw]
made by Adry for Ludum Dare 48 (COMPO)

I tried to make a game with original gameboy graphics, that is 160x144 resolution with 4 colors.

My first idea was to dig deep inside the gameboy and play some minigames based on it's classics but I couldn't manage to dedicate as many time as I would, so the game is pretty short, with just a Mario Land and a Pacman derp levels.

Arrows or wasd to control. Enjoy!

How do I collect the remaining coins? was there another level?
Graphics wise is cool, it just needed an 8bit music theme

@axeltherabbit You have to wall-jump to get the coins.

Oh, I am *terrible* at this kind of game, but I seem to be getting the goombas.. and.. OMG why am I playing Pacman?! Phew. Finally beat it. That was cool! A little sound would have helped a lot!

Nice compo. The controllers feel a bit off though.

Nice pixel art, gameboy style game. Controls were a bit slow and I was unsure of how to reach some parts of levels, other than that its a nice game. Some SFX or music would be a nice addition :)

Fun idea, good art. Next time look up some videos about unity platforming, it felt like you were just using the physics engine and rigidbodies and there are some tutorials that teach you how to make it feel better quickly.

Also pacman was a bit hard, but still overall I liked it. Good job!

That's not bad for a little jam game. The hero is a bit stiff however. If you want to spend time on improving the game, I would recommend to start with the movements, to make them feel good.

The problem was I did a bad design with the camera and the size of the world, then the numbers of the forces were too high, they worked properly on the emulator but it was a fail on the final build. I did some tweaks at the last submit hour and that's why the movement is far from good :(.
