MinorMiner by Trabasura
MinorMiner is a procedurally generated roguelite mining game where you can explore unlimited randomized biomes, fight bosses, and upgrade your gear by going deeper and deeper!

How To Play
Explore the world to find shops, defeat enemies, and fight bosses. Defeating a boss guides you to the nearest shop. Clicking an ore in your inventory removes it and clicking a tool in your inventory switches your tool out. Have fun!

Controls
AD- Move Left or Right || SPACE - JUMP || Left Click - Attack/Mine || Right Click- Special Ability || E - Interact with boss or Shop || I - Inventory

Tools
I used unity to develop the game, Aseprite to design the sprites, and sfxr and BoscaCeoil for the audio!
Changes
- 4/27/21 Fixed a bug with the knockback.
- 4/27/21 Fixed a bug preventing the first pickaxe from being displayed in the inventory.

I did a few runs, and there are many things to like here:
- The randomly generated map makes every run feel a bit different
- The fact that you can mine and attack from a distance makes it more bearable
- The sounds fit very well
However, there are places were I believe it can be improved:
- The music was very annoying for me, and I ended up muting it. I think this kind of games work better with more relaxed themes.
- The snake enemy was too difficult to attack (I was never able to beat one). I'd suggest making it slower or increasing the hitbox.
- The world feels empty. More enemies or even just simple decoration would improve the game greatly, although I suppose this was not feasible with such a short time limit.
Keep up the good work!
Some points:
- I think it takes too long to destroy blocks given they're so small
- In one run, I spawned at a great height and already lost a significant amount of health.
- The music was annoying
Also, it took me a while to understand destroying blocks was filling the special ability.
