Morally Upright Siren by Chaoclypse

[raw]
made by Chaoclypse for LD33 (COMPO)
NOTE: THIS GAME REQUIRES A MICROPHONE TO PLAY

You play as a morally upright siren who leads ships to their destinations safely! You (the player) do this by singing the song of your choice into the microphone. Higher decibels = more attraction. You have to time your movements and singing to sync together!

I found that using the mic made the game more innovate than the rest of the LD games, but I'm not comfortable doing that... so I didn't play.

This was fun, I was able to just sing a jazz version of Control from the Mortal Kombat movie and guide nice boats along. When that shark rolled up and 1-hit-KO'd the boat I laughed out loud, I did not expect such instant defeat. What a fun project.

Amazing idea. I can't be too loud here though, so it was hard for me to control it.

LOL, I guess yelling, "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO" won't make these guys stop. Oh my goodness! This game was extremely cool! I love the use of the mircophone, it was an awesome input device that doesn't get as much of a spotlight as much as it does. Well done. :D

Very original but using voice to control, it bound to get tricky.

Awesome concept! Might work better with a different calibration method though (showing a level meter & dragging threshold sliders maybe?) Nice work!
