I like the pixel art and the game is a good fit for the theme. It took me a while to figure out that enemies need two hits since there wasn't an indication when you hit them, it felt like my attacks weren't working. Once I figured that out it works well though; nice job!

I like the art, I wish the attack animation was a faster!

Cool entry. I dont like much the long delay when you attack. It was a good decision to stop everything waiting for the attack, otherwise at that speed i would end up dieing all the time. I manage to finish it at the 5th try. Its a bit tricky to get the timing. I liked the last levels when you not only had to wait for the timing but also consider the other fireballs coming at you. The art of the character and enemies were cool. I wish it had music and sound!

Also, consider changing the attack button from space to j k or some button. If you want to play in browser and not at full screen, space bar will just scroll the page! But thats not something that affects the game honestly.

Very well done.

Nice game. Was there no sound or something wrong with me lol? Art was good and overall gameplay is good also. Could be added more enemies but still a pretty good entry.

I like the art and the mood.

I thought that the hitboxes were off also and was a little frustrated trying to hit the enemies. Then reading the comments I see that they take two hits, which would have helped to know  Definitely some sort of hit notification would be very useful.

Also, the enemy's shots should probably disappear when you kill them. Between the persistent bullets and the slow attack speed it was very difficult to attack anything without taking a hit yourself.

Cool game! I really liked the artstyle. Beating the game was actually quite a challenge, but I managed to do it!

Oh no ! A game were I need to be patient ! My nemesis XD

Nice and simple, really cool game. I enjoyed it quite a lot.
I had trouble getting to the end.

If I had to point out some issues :
1) Maybe make it so the fire ball vanishes if the eyeball is killed
It is upsetting when you kill and eyeball and still get hit afterwards
Worse, is when you clear a level and still get hit
2) A roll or some way to avoid damage would have been fantastic.

Apart from that, I found the pixel art charming and the fireball sprites are great.
The game really fits the theme too.
Nice work !

A little clunky but overall a nice entry! I liked the look of it a lot.

I agree with the comments left above as well about some of the tweaks that would add a lot, so I won't reiterate them. Great job overall!

Plays well, but as a roguelike lover I miss a generated dungeon

Solid controls and gameplay loop. I feel the animations weer a bit slow. You could make it abit more quick and exaggerated.

nice little game, cool pixelart. Could have been more challenging at the end of the game.

hey man, its a good ideia for a game! Great graphics. Few tips for the future:
- less delay/response for atack
- music and sound effects
- checkpoint

congrats for the game!

Agree mostly with everybody else here. Good art, wish that attacks were a bit faster since you can't move after you attack

Fireballs going through walls felt unfair (melee vs. ranged is already a bit unfair). Agree with the comments here on hit detection, feedback, less delay between input and attacks, etc.

With some tweaks and some music/audio it could be a lot more fun than it already is.
