The Caves of Dirt by Blue05
A short puzzle-platformer, where you move blocks to reach new areas. Descend deeper and deeper into the caves until you reach the bottom!
To challenge myself and to learn more about the engine, I used Godot to make my game. Coming in, I had used it a little bit, but never actually made my own game with it. This was a great learning experience for me. I've enjoyed using it and will likely use it for future projects!
Dig up blocks, then place them to build ways to reach new areas and descend deeper and deeper.

And the gameplay is very interesting
Good job
But my browser take much time for starting it😐
Though there were some minor issues. I was stuck at the beginning because I didn't know I could only pick up dirt, but things were rolling once I figured it out. Also the audio was a bit crackly, but I'm guessing it was a game engine problem. The block pickup/place noise was a bit quiet in contrast to the rest of the sound effects.
I like this game a lot. It takes my previous knowledge from puzzles to apply to the next levels in a new way. Simply amazing, I can really appreciate this. My favorite game so far :)
- great theme
- great music tool to use for jams; good music
- sfx fight in well
- great art
- fun game mechnic
- very well polished final product
Improvements:
- maybe add in a built in timer for people wanting to speed run?
- Add a new block that adds new dynamics to levels; perhaps one that behaves differently based on what type of block it's on?
Bugs:
- Didn't find any

Very nice mechanics and very approachable game - it's really self explaining - good job :thumbsup_tone1:
I hope you'll drop by mine and give it a spin

To recommend
I like that you drop a block at your feet and so can use it to step up. It create some interesting puzzle.
Only suggestion I have is to make it more obvious that the green blocks are trampolines. Perhaps an animation or even just text that shows up the first time they're introduced. And if you keep developing the game (which I hope you do) I'd keep that in mind for future block types that you add. Make sure that the player is spending their time figuring out the puzzle, not figuring out how the game works.
