made by LutraLudens for Ludum Dare 48 (JAM)

My entry for the Ludum Dare 48 Jam. Its actually my first game jam and my first game.

It's short because apparently level design takes time, who would've guessed... ;)

You are in control of a experimental submarine with the ability to shrink down to a molecular level.

You've been inserted into a body and your objective is to heal all infections you can find and then escape.

The energy to heal infections can be extracted from red blood cells, but be aware of viruses you may encounter! They can steal your energy by touching you!

For a first timer, this was pretty cool. The graphics were nice, but the game was laggy. the controls were janky. But it was pretty good for a first timer!

Awesome job, I definitely understand the short level thing - my team ran out of time on that end as well.

Cool idea! Reminded me of that episode in Futurama! The viruses were very cute!

Very cool PBR material for blood vessel surface. I like physic for the submarine.
There wasn't SFX for engine, healing, get erythrocyte, press buttons.
Good job!

Super great for a first game. The idea is simple and fun. The visuals is overall really good. The controls is okay, but it could been more precise. The viruses looks funny, but they do not seem to do much. Overall is this a good jam game. Well done.

The game brings up the question of life and makes me wonder health of our community. Work on controls could've been done better, but overall conceptually good game.

The music is great, maybe a little too intense for the mood, but overall nice. The mechanic of picking up the "red blood cells" felt a little too hard to control, and I probably would have liked the ship to be more maneuverable. Or if you made it a little more forgiving and had them "magnet" closer to you when you get near, effectively increasing their overall hit sphere. (or some tool to harpoon and grab them, idk, the possibilities are endless). The game overall was unique, and I can tell a lot of work was spent on level creation. Nice job!

Great job making a complete game with an ending. The art is quite good, and there's nothing really to complain about. One minor note is that I found it difficult to get a good sense of distance to the blood cells when I was close to them, and sometimes missed. It's possible that moving the camera up relative to the submarine would help with that, or even adding a subtle distance number to them when nearby.

The game is cool! You really captured the feeling of travelling through a body and fighting infections. I liked the graphics: the infections looked gross and were well visible, the viruses looked like something you want to avoid.

The ending felt good too and fit the whole story of the game. :) So, well done, I had fun.

The game had a cool concept. The graphics really looked gross but it was a completely different art style as the submarine. Also, I found it very counterintuitive that it went down when I clicked the up arrow. It was also hard to collect the blood cells because I couldn't tell the distance. That could be fixed by adding a distance counter when you are facing them or making them move towards you when you get close. Other than that, the idea was really creative!
