Description

USE ARROW KEYS TO MOVE Rotate your drill to break through the rocks. Sweep left and right to score extra points!

Background

Extremely busy this week, but I still made the time to crank this out between 11 pm and 1 am. Not bad for ~4 hours I should say.

I really liked the concept of having to turn your ship to hit the shapes below correctly. I kept the same shape for a while was able to just move my ship to the correct spot and that felt a little like cheating. Great job and concept!

Definitely a good starting point; had fun playing a bit. Would love to see more done --i.e., using 2 drill bits at once or something to add variety to the gameplay.

The mechanics aren't actually too clear, but eventually I roughly figured out that the color and/or shape of the drill bit refers to the shapes. I seemed to lose points and get different sounds at times, and I wasn't sure why. It seemed like maybe some shapes were pulsing a little? If so, I think it was not obvious enough. I also felt like the pacing was a little slow. Unfortunately this game didn't do it for me, but it's definitely a game and I commend you for the accomplishment with so little time.

- Some music could have been nice; the game felt a bit quiet and empty.
- It wasn't immediately obvious which drill bits corresponded to which shapes; I died a few times before I figured it out.

This is a pretty good game, I love the concept. Just missing a good music in the background and we're there for hours ! :) Well done !

Incredible, considering your time constraint. Managing both the shapes of the ship and moving it creates a high skill ceiling.

Sound effects and graphics work well!
Maybe a small tutorial to explain that you match the drill bit with the rock shape would of helped too.
Otherwise a neat submission with good game loop

For the time spent it's pretty good. The lack of audio is not great, the graphics are ok. Gameplay idea is nice, it definitely could be developed further into something cool

Game is fine, but from my point of view some mechanics should be added. Since I'm able to switch drill type - I can don't move. So like half of gameplay is missed. Anyway good job!

Fine game for only four hours ! As other might have said, figuring which type of drill is active is a bit confusing. Maybe if the rotate button showed which drill is the next, it could let the player make more strategic choices
