The sensitivity of the mouse is WAYY to high... also picking up the book makes it fly around you (not staying at the cursor)

Nice mood though, and cool music (also graphics are nice)

Hi I've played your game and I have to say, that it has really good graphics, as well as great effects and according sounds ! However, I couldn't manage to go pass the first room as it took me a while to understand how to pick the book and when I finally got it, and try to put it onto the pedestal (I don't know the name for this thing), it just disappeared with the camera movement.

Anyways, be proud to have managed to finish your game, have a nice day ! :)

I got to the underground maze, but probably didn't read the message right, so I got stuck there. Great game!

I got stuck in the maze too. maybe leave the clue in the entrance room to be re-read. lovely presentation though!

I really liked the first room's mood, not knowing what to do in an ancient place, but got stuck in the maze ^^

(picking up the book was kind of hard, the book flying everywhere as soon as i took it (was it intended?))

@klaaswag the mouse sensitivity thing is a real issue, if i'd had more time I would have liked to have made it configurable (I use a very low DPI setting myself, so that's probably why it's off!)

@Substain @robochase6000 @jojopalambas thank you! and yeah, I should have added a way to read the clue once more, perhaps by returning to the place where you first got it :)

As for the book's motion.. lets call it the effect of the magic imbued on the one remaining book (but really I should have made it a kinematic object instead of a rigid body one with custom physics) :D

I very much admire the look and feel of this game. It's very sleek and polished looking, while the ambiance is very solemn and beautiful. I agree with the aforementioned comments that it's hard to move the book to the pedestal just right, as well as navigate the maze, but I find this to be a really cool proof of concept. Well done!

I can confirm that the book action was a bit wobbly. Also it would have been nice to also interact with the pile of books, maybe even a prompt "what are you doing there, librarian?"

I also got stuck in the maze (but solved it later), I am not sure of the full circle means arrive at a coordinate in the grid you have already visited, but if it is just arrive at origin again, I am not sure if the origin was reset properly.

Looks very sleek, kudos for doing modeling stuff on your own as well. Nice work.

@potti haha, yes, after playing some other games, notably, ah it's yours.. yes, after playing the game you were part of making, I felt like "aaah, I wanted to add some readable books too!"

Didn't make it past the maze but I loved the models and general aesthetic of the game. Could definitely benefit from the suggestions mentioned already. Props to you though for making a 3D game with such a polished aesthetic in 72 hours :)

i didnt have any issue with mouse sensitivity but got stuck at the maze, picking up objects can be a problem, the idea is way better than "go underground and mine" or "go underground and shoot drones" so points for originality, the mood and atmosphere of the game is great and is very library-ish, and the controls are fine and easy to learn, also it would be nicer with a few sound effects, its original and 100% playable

@ruslana sorry to hear you couldn't get past the section with the book, thanks for trying it anyways (the physics are quite terrible indeed) :eyes:

@skvader-418 haha, it does seem the maze.. puzzles people, i'd have liked to have worked in a few sound effects but still need to learn how to make those :D thanks for playing!

Nice game! Wasn't sure if the book's "behavior" was intentional until it flew off the map but I thought it was pretty funny anyway, especially if I'm walking into a magical library. The riddle at the beginning of the labyrinth was clever, I got it almost immediately but still decided to see what happened if I screwed it up. It helped me to draw up a path to take based on the riddle.

You nailed the atmosphere here! Something that I struggle to get the hang of in game dev. Good work, didn't actually mind the sensitive mouse, I just learned to adapt to it. Book was tough to grab at the start :) With a bit more polish on the ineractivity, I think this could make an interesting piece of work

Really great graphics, coherent atmosphere and music, and nice idea to explore the theme.

Altough, i know that it's a maze, and maybe that was your intent with this game, but unfortunately i get stuck in the maze with no clue on how to keep going.

Maybe the answer is in the texts, but it disapear to quickly - as i don't have the hability to read faster haha.

If you keep with the ideia to "go down" into the maze, with some tips (sound tips maybe could be interesting to be add) and put a "Press Key" to skip the texts - but with the player control to skip, so that way anyone could read it, it can became a incredible game!

I really enjoyed my time while playing it. Great work! Will be waiting ansiously for an update.😀

@lrvstudios glad to hear you enjoyed it, being able to revisit the hints/also let the players pace them isn't a bad idea at all :) i'll see if i have any energy to revisit it a little bit and fix these small things, originally it was also supposed to be a 100% seamless maze (no teleportation at all), so might fix that in the same go :eyes:

thanks for playing!

Music really hit the theme and there were some good vibes, but mouse sensitivity is way high, and book just began flying around and couldn't be controlled.

Interesting game! I liked the athmosphere and mood as well as the simple graphics (especially the flame!). The music could use a bit of work though (It doesn't loop well).

As others have pointed out, the text fades out a little too fast, which makes it difficult to read the hints.

I also liked the maze puzzle, even though I feel like you have to go through one extra room in the circle, which makes it a little confusing.

Overall, good job!

@jandourek haha, yeaaah, the music was algorithmically put together and the initial cut looped better but it had a horrible clipping sound, but i was about 1h from the deadline at that point :D

i will probably adjust it for a post-jam update, thanks for having a go :) (the text is def an accessibility issue)

О, а мне понравилась летающая книга! Можно было добавить еще несколько, тогда вокруг героя был бы паровозик из книг! Я тоже не прошел лабиринт, думаю, я слишком глупый для этого.
