Templooter by spadekHemoglobiny
You want to take as much gold out of the temple, but there is something deeper inside...
Unfortunately I didn't manage to add any music, that's why I disabled the rating in Audio

I think the enemies could have used some attack wind up. Taking damage by running into enemies resulted in me just standing at a distance while mashing space bar so I wouldn't get hurt. I think the game would feel a lot faster if charging into an enemy was more encouraged, or if there was some way of regaining health :)
Wish there are more variety of enemies and mechanics!
I initially thought that having the chest display the max number of collected coins instead of the total would have been more interesting with those rogue-like mechanics.
But then I reached the end and the game became going to the last room and collecting coins, bringing them up, going back again, which is nice too.
I'm not fond of using the mouse button to confirm dialogs in a game whose controls doesn't use the mouse. Interacting with dialogs with the keyboard would have been nice.
Also, I wonder if the two controls (E and space) could have been merge into a single key.
Enjoyable, responsive controls, 21/37
@jorim did you try interacting with the door to the right?
@extar I'm glad you enjoyed the way I explained the controls, and yeah as I said I will make the game more fast-paced
@parkuhrmd interesting suggestion, will think it through. I will admit that the combat system is quite janky because I wasted too much time on some other things. Thank you for the feedback
@volkolak I will definitely add some, thanks for the feedback
@imyellowfish Thanks! I will try to add some more variety
@bhaa-su I'm happy game good!
@chimyx I will definitely try to merge the controls as you've said, I don't know how I didn't notice that lol. And yeah aobut the coins mechanic, I didn't really know what to do with it so it ended up just being there, but your suggestion is something to consider. Thank you very much for the feedback!
@sinusquell Thanks! I would have probably made it a bit faster, but the problem wasn't not having enough time, it was just that I didn't really know what to do at first, and ended up changing the gameplay loop like three times lol
@taximan981 Yeah this difficulty was unintentional but I ended up killing myself like that too when playtesting lol. I'm happy you like the game!
@mortalslayer24 Thank you!
@crispybun Those were the games I took inspiration from! Thanks for mentioning the gameplay loop, I know about this issue and I will try to make it more interesting.
@huntrox Thanks!
@escapade It actually had a timer in the beginning, but I couldn't get the animation to sync up so I had to ditch it. But now as I have more time I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the feedback!
Would be awesome if enemies and attacks had more variety and speed, I would love the feeling of diving deeper in that temple with many enemies and having to strategize to make it out alive...
Quick tip, use a circle collider for your player, It will help if you decide to make levels with a lot of corners or tight corridors!
