Cliffhanger by Lamamour

In Cliffhanger, you control a charater standing on a platform composed of cubes. Your opponent (a second player or an AI) will try to make you fall in the lava below.
To defeat your opponent, you will have to absorb the cubes from your platform in order to load your weapon. The lower you go, the bigger your projectile will be. But be careful !!! The more cubes you absorb, the smaller your platform !
If you manage to touch your opponent, some of his platform cubes will be destroyed, leading him deeper and deeper until he falls into the lava !
Note: Yep, our AI likes to jump a lot (and its haaaard to beat), let's say it's dodging a lot better this way :D

Good game! I want to play again and again :D
Nice work.
However aiming is very difficult, sometimes it doesn't trigger even if I hold the key.
Nice work overall !
P.S please add some kind of a local multiplayer.
@anna-karpova hihi thanks! I also see the resemblance :))
Great job :)
@joedev hehe thanks, I personnally cannot beat the AI everytime! Yesssss, we love party games so that was the idea
The game itself was fun and a novel idea. Though I found it a tiny bit confusing that the projectile of the 2nd player didn't match the color of it's ray. That would add more clarity I think.
Nice job!
I feel like the bounce and destructible ground are enough for the chaotic aspect, maybe the aim could be totally manual.
Personally I wasn't a big fan of the controls.
Overall well done
@elemental-zeal-game-studios ahah oops, good job for beating it on the first attempt!! thank youu :))
@nbumgardner thank youuu!! Yeah I guess if you manage to dodge everytime it will head towards its death ahahah
Agree with @greenblacksky controls on keyboard are not very obvious. I think a gamepad will be better. I enjoy the game speed and the mood.
It's very impressive to have make an AI in jam game. But there is an issue in gameplay, if you spam the fire button you can win every time against the AI.
Amazing job :muscle:
@greenblacksky You're right, it's not. I also think (if we keep it that way because we won't change the controls now for the jam) the control description could be clearer also so the player now he has to press G twice. Thank you for your feedback and thanks for playing
@duck-reaction Thank you for playing and for the feedback, happy you enjoyed it!! :smile_cat: Well I just tried to spam the fire button and I was left with no ammo and I lost ahah but I guess that's one way to win
Thanks for being part of the stream, it was amazing!
Finally a multiplayer game! I was waiting for one since I started testing! Thanks for that.
This is a fun take on 2 player fight.
It took me a while to understand the controls but once I got them, it was easy to use them.
I think the main point that confused me with them is the use of the same button to "reload a block" and to "shoot" but at the same time, it makes it easier to control once you understand the flow.
I don't know if there is an easy solution other than a better tutorial. Maybe you could not shoot when the long press on the G is shorter than a few milliseconds, to prevent accident premature shooting of block.
Overall, this was very fun! Félicitation à tous les deux!
@pnkvrt omg yess, we definetely have to fix this spam issue with the G key ahahah, thanks for playing and the feedbacks, it means a lot ^_^
@unagiv @yword Thank youuu !! :))
@sleepystudios We're glad you loved it! thanks a lot
@frozenfire92 Happy to hear you loved the mechanic! Thanks for playing
