Game description:
Trposhi is semi-idle endless game.
You are in the role of commander of 4 dwarves. Each dwarf has a special trait and your common goal is to get deeper and deeper. Obviously, deeper is where more gold is. Dwarves like more gold, duh. After all, if it weren't of the gold, you wouldn't see the dwarves outside of the tavern. Don't forget to follow the dwarf's drinking regimen regularly.
In the end, we wish that no dwarf under your command will run out of energy. Although it is said that dwarf funerals are wonderful - and every person should see one.
How to play
Use mouse to control the game.
Mouse scrool wheel, W,S or UP,DOWN to move camera.
Click dwarfes or their respective panels to target them
Command the dwarves by clicking on the icons on their panels
Dig for gold. The deeper you dig, the more gold you get.
Spend the gold on mine upgrades (Let's you dig deeper to earn more gold)
Don't let dwarves die by draining their energy! Send them to tavern or let them rest (sleep).
Tips:
When in deeper levels, use arrow keys or W,S to move camera. It's faster.
Each dwarf has specific trait
Good sleeper means he regenerates energy quickly while sleeping, furthemore you don't have to send him to tavern to be effective.
Good runner is faster than other dwarves.
Good digger is more efficient while digging for gold.
Good builder builds mine upgrades faster.
Ludum Dare 48 backstory:
The best LDJ we have participated in so far. We decided to skip energy drinks, eat regularly and most importantly - sleep. We enjoyed the weekend way more and were less stressed. We think good sleep was the thing we lacked in the previous jams. Additionally, we have found a new passion in pixel art.
This time we participated in a team of two and our “Very first patron” joined us and helped us with the sound effects. We would like to thank him once again and invite him to participate in the next LD with us again!
Fun fact: "Trposhi" is spinoff of czech word "Trpoši", which roughly translates to "Dwarves".

I like the concept but it is very sloooow gameplay.
These type of games are usually the best if there is too much things you have to manage and you increase your productivity by skilled management.

Missing an incenctive for digging deeper since you can't get more dwarves, just the satisfaction of seeing your mine extend to ridiculous depths? The sounds to go with each action was a nice touch :)
I don't like idle games in general, but this one I really don't mind! It's charming!
I wish build times were a bit more quick and also resolution was a bit problematic for my screen - couldn't see some elements. Anyway, I'd love to play full game like that
Also it looks quite vibing with our game too heh
I'd appreciate if you could check it out aswell
- The how to play session was a little messy, not a directed order to read in
- The instructions weren't so clear in the beginning
Leaving that aside, after getting to know how it works properly, the game was great to play!

And the funeral was amazing
Sleep is an inefficient use of time. It's much better to go for a beer. Every dwarf has known that since he was a child. :beers:
Our "very first patron" helped us with the sound. We also believe that it added quality to the game.
We will be happy to inform you about it. :writing_hand:
I love the art style and the little details (like the coffin dance XD).
Good job!
What is here is quite fun. I see you have talked about a post jam version and I would encourage it! Maybe some artefacts to be found? Maybe a town above ground as well as dwellers in the caves? Maybe let the builder build beds to increase sleeping speed? So many ideas come to mind! I look forward to what you come up with!
great entry!
You did achieve a nice chill vibe though, good work! The graphics were also very nice, and the little funeral was awesome, great touch.
The graphics are sound are very well done, too. A couple of people have noted the way the ambient sound changes depending on how deep you are, but I also noticed the terrain subtly changes as well: at Level 10 there are grey flecks added in, and at Level 20 there are golden flecks instead. It provides a real sense of progression, and a sense that yes, there really is more gold the deeper you dig.
I managed my dwarves well enough that I never got to see the funeral scene, I might have to go back and deliberately kill a dwarf just to see it :joy:
One thing I wish this had is a save system, so you can stop playing and come back to it later. It's really an essential feature for any idle-esque game. I got to Level 23 before deciding I should probably quit and write this review, or else I might end up playing it all day, but I would have loved to have been able to come back to that run instead of starting all over from scratch.
I really hope you do make a post-jam version of this, with a save function and some of the other improvements that have been mentioned, because I'd honestly pay money on Steam for one. It's already that addictive.
