Perhaps the HUD shouldnt have those lateral bars because the drill can be hidden behind them and feels like.. unnecesary.
Sometimes i felt i the collisions were a bit unfair, that i could have passed between two obstacles.
Overall, great entry! Congratulations!
I loved how you teach the controls in the main menu, no need of having any sort of tutorial. Camera shake and general polish feels great.
I wasn't a fan of the high crash penaly when going super fast, maybe penalty could be a percentage of your current speed??
Seems like a great candidate for a mobile port, you should keep working on it, maybe add some powerups or improvements for the digger.
Also, Game over screen rocks the lava effect is super cool
Awesome work!! Congrats!
It fits the theme and it's just overall a great game jam submission.
@thementalsheep yes! I loved that sound, our musician made a great job!
Great to hear that @cornflowerblue "holy crap is it Juicy" has to be one of the best compliments!
I think the game could be even more interesting if the slow-down that happens when close to blocks was something that could be controlled by the player, much like the boost is. However if you were going for simplicity, then what you have is great!
The boost sound is awesome!! Guido did a great job. it good to know that you like it @evil-villain-games and @cottonfloweryellow
Kudos for using Godot ;)
