Werecop's Archives: Case of Deeper Excrement by Shigor
A (not very) interactive short fiction, fully voiced, about a man who gained strange superpoweres after a drunken cop bit him and turned him into a fighter for the Lady Justice.
Every LD I always thought that if worsts comes to worst, I can always make an interactive fiction. I never did. This time I planned it from start. Didn't end up as I planned and it's missing the crayons illustrations it was supposed to have, but I'm very happy with the story anyway. Too bad I didn't have time to add some proper branching so it's extremely linear.
Some fun facts: according to my sport watch I walked 27 kilometers around my house, mostly in night under a full moon, thinking about the story and later about which parts I'll have to cut out. The story has about 8k words. About an hour of audio.
I didn't make the time limit for the compo by few hours, sadly, mostly because I grossly underestimated how much time I'll need to cut the recorded voiceovers. So, jam it is.

Tiny update: after some feedback from friends I added a toggle to the title screen to pause the game after each voiced sentence and another to disable voiceover for those who don't want to hear my rattling voice (although you're missing half the fun and about 35 minutes of voice)
Tiny update 2: added windows build to itch io, I also recorded the whole game as video to youtube, 36 minutes of my rasping voice :)

Congrats on a well made unique game!
Not much of a game, but I enjoyed the hell out of it! Nice story with a twist, fine writing, very enjoyable to listen to and contribute slightly. Would be glorious if there would be branching paths and alternative outcomes, but we all know the time constraints of a jam.
Very cool voice acting and good quality of recording. I noticed two "bugs":
- Near the beginning part of the text is missing from the actual text ("...know. So just wait a bit."). It's said, but not written.
- Later there is a bit that is written but not voiced (voice-over sort of cuts away): "although he didn't step in it."
