The mood and graphics in this game is absolutely incredible in shuch a short amount of time. Reminds me a lot of monument valley with the pointy hat, the puzzles and the top down view in temples. Great work !
PS : I also got stuck behind a skull, could get out after some time

Lots of potential for expanding the game mechanics, only gripe was that the character could move a bit faster. Art and soundscapes (ground material footstep sounds!) are great and ending song is such a banger!

Stuning art, cute character and great music. No issues, I only noticed that it doesn't react very graciously to the canvas being resized.

That art was incredible. Legitimately, I aspire to make art like that someday. Absolutely awesome. It was a coherent visual style with so much power, that connected with the music powerfully. The audio work and sound design was amazing too. The mood it captured was beautiful.

There's nothing I can criticise. More experimentation with lighting would elevate the mood slightly. The puzzles themselves weren't really...puzzle-y? They didn't make you think too much once you got the basic gist of it, but I think that making proper satisfying puzzles takes an unreasonably long time for a jam anyway.

A really brave game I would pay money for if there was a full-version with strong puzzles.

Absolutely loved it.

WOW what a stunning game, the art style is so beautiful and fits the mood perfectly! the puzzles are really well designed and it took me a while to solve the last one but it is so satisfying when you get the right answer :D

The music and sound design is again absolutely beautiful, love the final song!

The only improvement I can think of is increasing the speed of the little guy and maybe make the skulls a bit more visible (I know that it can be very hard to do tho :D).

Super great entry overall!

Wayyyyyy too short! Need more!

Everything here works so well together. The visual style is impressive, the audio design fits perfectly, the simple mechanics are great, yet could be expanded into more complex puzzles.

Excellent work. Only issue I had was the slight inertia on the player.

You guys nailed the graphics, sound and mood, the amount of polish in these 3 aspects is incredible. The gameplay needs some work, I am surprised at how much some badly placed colliders can damage a game and this is the case here, the colliders break the atmosphere by a lot.
Another thing that I will point out is that the mechanics used in the puzzles are interesting and have a large design space to be explored, but by its nature, the 'points' will always be apart of each other by a kinda great distance and having a character walking seams to be not ideal, things become very slow for the player, especially since the puzzles are simple and the player solves them quickly in his head, but then they have to walk for the next 60 seconds just connecting the points, so in a way having a character seems more like a barrier for the player and the gameplay.
I would love to see a full version of this.

Very eerie mood, I liked it. The art is quite original compared to other games. The key mechanic is simple, but gives great opportunities for making interesting puzzles. All in all, a very good game :)

5 stars for audio and graphics. I never give 5 stars. Just so good for the time given. However, areas to improve are gameplay which was quite shallow and boring, bringing the composite score down to 4 stars.

Even though it was short, I absolutely loved it!

The mood and atmosphere of the game are amazing. The art is gorgeous! And the song in the end... Mind blowingly good. I can see a LOT of potential for this game. The movement speed of the character could be a *little* faster but the game feels nice even with a slightly slow character. The puzzles were cool, but were a bit easy. Well, if this game ever gets expanded, they technically are the first 3 levels so I guess they are meant to be that way.

Great experience, a beautiful entry! Great job!

This really looks like a coherent, tangible fictional universe to me.
There is something intriguing, 'mystical' in this world.
I Would really love to explore deeper layers, be surprised with
more amazing scenes, try to understand were we are, who is the figure in the title screen?
So many open questions... That's great.

I'm a big fan of the black and grey art style.
The sound design fits the graphics and universe perfectly.
The ending soundtrack and title-screen left me wanting to see more.

Don't forget the game mechanics and technical execution, which are really nice.

You guys have made something really strong, inspiring.

Thanks for participating in the jam!

Was a really cool experience.

Loved the art style and audio.

The character was cute, but heres food for thought: did having the character moving around really add anything? What if you just had the character on the board (since they're descending deeper and deeper) but you just interacted with things via the mouse (or touch for mobile).

Maybe either go that route, OR incorporate the movement of the character into the puzzles. For example maybe they have to activate the beams in a certain order because they cant pass through them, etc.

The only other small comment is adding something at the end to say "the end" would be helpful, I sat there like a dope for a bit because I wasnt sure if the game was over or not.

Other than those small things, fantastic entry.

28. Apr 2021 · 16:07 UTC
Very nice! The art style and soundscape really brought this to another level, the mood is really amazing.

The character movement did feel a little bit unnecessary to me as there wasn't really any puzzle elements involved, and also somehow weirdly heavy, kinda felt like a deliberate choice for a game mechanic but the purpose missing. In this case I think mouse/touch controls interacting with the cool environment would have sufficed well.

Regardless of that, it was most definitely a very stellar entry and left me wanting more, great job!

I want to see this become a full game. I would buy it in a snap! Minor criticism:

Hitboxes on the laser skull thingies were too big, and the character would hit them when they are not visibly touching.

The art and audio were absolutely spot on! Probably my favorite in those categories of all the games I've played. I think the mechanic, while simple, is perfectly scoped for a 3-day game jam. If I were to make a critique, I think it would be that the core puzzle mechanic doesn't involve the theme of "deeper and deeper", only the feedback for completing the puzzle does. Phenomenal game though!

The art here is incredible, really gorgeous, I love it. The audio design is also excellent. The mechanic is simple, I would love to had more "surprises" like in the third level, making this more an exploration / puzzle, that simple puzzles, and I think the art really backs that up. What a deligtful game!

I was confused at the end, because I didn't know whether I should click on something to continue or it's the end of the game, some epilogue text would be nice. Otherwise it's a great entry, I really love the art style.

The art and music are just insanely good, that should be illegal to do something like this <3. The gameplay was pretty cool too, but the puzzles were really simple, I would have loved more levels with a difficulty curve =p !
My only bad point is... The relationship with the theme. Yeah, okay, I got it, the exit goes down the ground, so each level is "deeper and deeper", but I didn't feel like the theme had a real impact on the game. It was more a skin for the exit animation : you could replace the elevator with some trandimensional portal and you got the same game. That's too bad !

Congratulations on the game, the strong point was that it was not colorful and arts, very good attention they had as sounds when passing through the puddles, well made puzzles, I will give 2 suggestions, 1 keep the whole game not colored, 2 create a character that has its different characteristics so that the players do not remember the other game so constantly, I appreciate the opportunity to have known your work, a big hug to everyone, and I await your evaluations regarding my game.

Very unique, love the presentation. And I was not ready for that epic ending screen, amazing art and music! Gameplay is a bit simple but for a jam it makes for a nice and quick experience. Would LOVE to see you guys make a longer and more advanced game using this style of art and music.

I adore the art design in this, it was so distinctive and textured. You also used your sounds to great effect and it really helped to cement the mood of the game. Took me a second to figure out what I was supposed to be doing on the first level, but after that it was smooth and intuitive. What a wonderful entry, I'm so impressed!

Well, I don't think there is something to add, it's simply the best. A bit too easy and short, but overall, this art style deserves a full length puzzle game, and I hope, you'll make it eventually.

Thank you for making this game. It was simple and simply beautiful. I LOVE the audio and the feeling when I hear the steps echo. The graphics are beautiful too. The only sad part is that it's so short but like you said, it's only a prototype. But overall, amazing, I needed to use my brain too, not just run through the game.

Very nice looking artwork, the ambient sound (plus the music later on) really sets the mood, and the simple gameplay makes for a solid entry. Nicely done. My only suggestions is to lower the footsteps sounds or play it with random pitches as it gets a bit repetitive quickly.

A brilliant foundation of a puzzle game! The mechanics are taught through intuition, rather than text boxes, which is great; the art and music are some of the best I've seen this entire jam, the bit of story that is told is wonderful and I would love to see it expanded upon. Overall, I'm a big fan of this world you've created and want to see more!
