Nicely done! This is very polished and fun to play. Even after reaching the end, I didn't want to close it, I wanted to play again and see if I could do better.

Only criticism I have is that the aiming controls are a bit difficult, at least for me. I found quite a few spots where the quickest tap on the arrows would not make a small enough adjustment to hit targets.

Some suggestions if you want to build off this game: try using mouse input to aim, and maybe allow the screen to scroll faster (for speedrunning!). Great job!

I had a lot of fun with this. It took me a minute to get used to the controls, but I felt pretty comfortable after a while. Dodging the circular spinning shooters gave me that "I'm invincible" feel that I look for in a shmup. My suggestions would be, to make your laser's direction a bit easier to see, maybe by having it be a contrasting color. Also, the health hearts were sometimes difficult to see. I was able to get by some obstacles by down moving fast to get ahead of their barrage of shots. Maybe make that cost me if I try it too often.

Congrats on finishing the game! It look and feels solid and it's fun to play!
If you ever want to expand this game I would suggest to add more levels with different tiles.
Music gets repetitive fast too but since the game is this short it's not bad.
Good job!

Super game, the art is also top. Fits everything together very coherently. The controls were a bit strange at first but after 2-3x dying I had the hang of it. I had to play until I managed to get to the target without damage. So as an idea what could make the game more interesting: Aim with the mouse. So that you can also destroy the guns sideways.

That was pretty good. I found the aiming a bit awkward though. In the end I found it was easier just to leave it alone, stay near the bottom of the screen and just dodge most of the bullets.
I enjoyed playing it though. Managed to get to the end without taking any damage.

Nicely done! I think the ground tile's colors should be a little darker tough.

The gameplay is really fun, I hope you continue working on it. To be able to aim with a mouse would be good! Well done! :D

I notice a lot of people would prefer to aim with the mouse. I have implemented a version with mouse aim already after the first few comments, balanced the game for the easier aiming and made some other tweaks to the game. For the sake of fairness I haven't published it. I will probably publish it after the rating time ends.

Nice game, but it's hard to get used to aim with keys. But it's still fun. Also, great sounds and visuals. Can't wait to play the final version of game.

P.S. Sometimes you can pass the walls, when being out of screen without insta-dying. It seems as a bug for me, but I'm not sure

Did you think about aiming by mouse?

@SmelJey Yes, passing the walls is a bug. It didn't happen to me when testing, so I was not aware of it. Unity physics rng. : ) It will be fixed in the post jam version.

@Robotex Yes but I had some problems with implementing it. (Which were just dumb oversights...) As previously mentioned, I will publish a post jam version with mouse aim.

Cool game. As others have said, the tank-"twin stick" hybrid for the controls is certainly unique, but pretty unintuitive and clunky, particularly for hitting far-away targets. Once I got used to it though, the game was pretty solid. Didn't overstay its welcome and actually had an ending, which is good to see. Well done :)

Very good game! The idea and execution are solid, although I am terrible at it. Perhaps difficulty options such as lower scroll speed or laser sight would be good. Great idea and execution!
