Your hope is... Eternal!

Move Ski with WASD and SPACE to Jump!

Not much of a themer, my original ideas all kinda... failed. BUT! I had a lot of fun learning Godot for the first time!

@kory very psyshedelic and pretty nice for a first game on an engine!
If I was the developer I would slow down the movement speed a bit, it is hard control
especially in the moving "edges".

Have you used any other engines? I would like to know how you rank them.

@hestrateja thanks! Yeah the movement is a bit wonky on the edges for sure... I think the character registers as airborne and so you can't jump is my best guess. Thanks for the feedback :)

As for engines and stuff... I would rank them this way (for 2D, especially jams)

1. Game Maker Studio (Very different from Godot/Unity, but it's very solid for 2D stuff and has been a standard for indie stuff for years; its language is pretty dated though so bear in mind)
2. Godot (The editing experience was very smooth, I like the design philosophy personally a lot)
3. Unity (Unity has always confused me, the component system just does not work in my brain I guess)
4. Unreal Engine (poopy lol jk its just a lot of stuff)

Nice game! The graphics were certainly unique - I liked all the special effects like the trail and foreground dots. I also really liked the music. It played a bit weirdly - the player sometimes slowed down for no explicable reason, and there were many times where I missed a jump - but other than that, great entry!
