A Monster Is You! by person124

A Monster Is You! Is a game where You Are The Monster. You goal is to walk around eating little children while the adults of the neighborhood hunt you down.

The genre of the game would have to be puzzle I guess. Originally the game was going to be a stealth game where you had to sneak back to your closet and try to not get caught by children, but the graphics didn't want to work, so I got frustrated and made every sprite be a max of one pixel by one pixel. Then that's where AMIY was created.

Instructions on how to play are in the game, and since the game is pretty basic, I'm 85% sure there aren't any bugs in it; the game has 13 levels. Have fun!

Cute idea! The game had dynamic enemies, interesting levels, and got very challenging as it progressed. The graphics were very simple, but I had a lot of fun playing this. The parents get very serious after you eat enough kids XD

Cool puzzle game! :P

Maybe make the delay of pressing 2 buttons at once slower... Often failed because I was to slow ...

But amazing game!

Made my head hurt. Proof that this is a good puzzle game! Plus, I played it all the way to the end because I wanted to! Always a good sign.

Tough little puzzle game! Really hard! Not a particularly compelling interpretation of the theme, but good at what it is.

Simple but engaging puzzle game. The basic logic behind the 'parents' worked well, it felt like you were indeed being chased.

Not sure if this is true. but i think of the more purple ones as Moms and the red ones as Dads.... and Moms dont let you touch their child!!! :D Love it

Bit loose on the theme as the colored squares could represent just about anything, but the game was awesome. I really enjoyed it, simple puzzle mechanics used in really interesting and challenging ways.

Awesome game idea! I guess you could call it turn-based stealth! Kind of reminds me of Hitman Go.

However I got to a level, were for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to solve the level.

I also actually also really like the graphics. Very simple, but actually kind of fitting.

Ok, I hard a hard time figuring out what the heck was I supposed to do, but once I got the idea, I started to like it a lot. Even had different strategies for losing one of the pixels following me.

Like said before, the graphics could be anything, but I don't think I would want you to change them. Props for using Java, it's a dying art in game dev (I still love it). Good work.

Well done puzzle game. I like the use of pixel sized sprites (see my game Pixel Monster)
