Playing a Kitten trying to save the world made me smile tho.
I finished it twice.
The mechanics are pretty fun and I really appreciated the puzzles.
Nice work !

One last thing as a fellow french dev, I appreciate that you included ZQSD in the control schemes, merci bien
Good job on this entry!
My only suggestion is that a more traditional "fog of war" effect would perhaps make more sense and fit the graphics style more than the invisible light source.
Edit: also the music really got me. Props to your boyfriend.
Fantastic opening. The art is lovely. The decoy is such an interesting mechanic. I had trouble using it since it felt like the cat attracted more attention than it did, but that may be intentional. Cats are more interesting than decoys, after all.
I like the text with the sounds, that even stop when you skip the text writing effect, nice little touch.
Sometimes its a bit hard to tell where the aliens are looking / where you can be seen, but once you figure it out it plays out really nicely.
Good game!
That game was solid ! Getting rushed by off-screen aliens was a bit frustrating at times, so maybe having a wider camera angle could help, but otherwise, that was really good ! I loved the art, the light work and the music, and the luring mecanic is an interesting twist ! Also, games with proper introduction/ending are not common in game jams, so kudos for that =) !
But looks like I was wrong on that x3
,the enemies are visible in the dark areas wich is a thing i completly failed at so good job at that
,the stealth gameplay can be fixed a little bit for example the guards shouldnt be able to see behind them selves, wich is a problem i had on the 3rd level, where he ignores the decoy and just goes straight tworvards me
,the difficulty scaling can be fixed slightly but its not a huge problem
,the controls are really easy to learn an understand
,the game its self teaches you the controls trough the game rather than a massive boring tutorial level
,the scrolling text is really cute
.overall a briliant game that is simple to learn and play
i am impressed
...........................
oh and thanks for saving our planet
The only thing that was annoying is the same text that always pop over and over when you die (I suck at video game so a lot in my case haha), maybe it would be better if it was desactivated after your first try
Apart from that it was super cool! huge congrats for this entry :)
Also, I'm a impatient guy. I don't like reading, so lots of text I just skip. Good thing it comes back everytime the cat dies, because I did not read that I could use a decoy
One minor complaint is that I couldn't see the enemies on the bigger levels because the camera view was too small. Perhaps allowing to move the camera with the mouse would solve this.
Very enjoyable entry!
Overall a nice short story with nice graphics and music.
Really nice job! No bugs to report, great graphics, and some epic beats to set the mood.
I generally like the dark atmosphere the game provides. The use of lighting and shadows does a great job of instilling the feel of how dangerous this mission is. For the most part, I like the decoy mechanic as well. While it's use is a bit short-lived, it still opens up a lot of possibilities for the player to come up with creative ideas on its utilization.s
That said, one of my least favorite attribute is how sensitive the aliens are to your presence. Given each alien is lit with a red lighting circle, I thought that meant the aliens detection system was based on distance. After a bit of testing, though, it became clear to me their detection-system was based on line-of-sight; distance had no effect in deterring their attention. This often lead to moments where an alien off-screen would ambush me, despite me having no way of reacting since I can't see the party-pooper. It would have been nice to add a method to change the camera location, e.g. with mouse or right-stick on the controller, so it gave the player a method of look-ahead. I also honestly think the game should probably be better lit so it's easier to convey the line-of-sight based system you have.
I also would have liked it if the alien detection system wasn't so insta-death. Adding a method for the player to improvise would have helped. For example, perhaps add a margin of time where the alien detects your presence, but also stops at that spot before dashing towards your direction. Perhaps one could drop a decoy if they're fast enough to ward away their attention briefly.
Still, the experience was short and sweet enough to be entertaining. I can certainly see this game expanded with a few more improvements.
