Deeper Every D8 by notanimposter
A Romantic Roguelike?
Bachelor portraits and backgrounds generated by deep learning.
8 locations. 8 bachelors. You will be dealt 3 soulmate cards (top left) at the beginning of the game. These will be revealed as you play. Romance one of your soulmates to win, or just make friends with everyone, if that's your thing. To visit other locations, just ask someone on a date there. While the locations of the bachelors might be randomized, their interests aren't, and they seem to have certain places they prefer to hang out. If you want, you can use that to your advantage.

On a side note though is it a glitch if say for the question "What do you like to do in your spare time?" says the same option twice? Just something I noticed, otherwise cute game!!!
I like the overall feel of this game - nice that you were able to nail the dating-sim style in such a short amount of time. I also really like the pixel art!
One thing I was confused by - it seemed like I was not able to interact with any other characters besides the one I'm first with upon starting the game. Not sure if I missed something or if I wasn't able to select the other characters as they appear for some reason.
Was fairly fun, though I feel you should probably lose hearts if you talk about a topic they don't care about?
Oh boy, you're right, I should *not* play in fullscreen. Collisions went all over the place after I tried hitting the fullscreen button.
Some bugs that I found: In fullscreen, when I click to change character I get a blackscreen and the typing sound going on continuously. Also it displays "I love you, $PLAYER_NAME" when a girl "fall" in love.
(Why they fall in love with a sheep that say yes to everything and has no personality is still a mystery to me though, is this game a big metaphor on the meaninglessness of certain relationships or a criticism of the fact that to seduce we're taught to please the other instead of being ourselves, or am I going to deep ?)
The questions and answers kind of felt like just figuring out a checklist and then going through it, but some facts were pretty interesting. Feels like there could have been a few girls less in favor of more interesting dialogs, less focused on interests and more on maybe some unexpected situations and how you respond.
Not sure if there was supposed to be an ending, but didn't manage to trigger it. Maybe I'm just not used to these kind of games.
Overall, it was interesting to see successfully utilized content generation - it opens a lot of interesting possibilities, especially for game jams where time to make assets is really limited.
haha jk This was some cool ideas in here I like how you had to go to different areas to kinda explore and the sound effects with the hearts and text. Some dynamic music based on how many hearts you have with your date would have been awesome!
