Cute whale merchant :white_check_mark:
Dark abyss of the ocean :white_check_mark:
A sense of dread the darker it gets :white_check_mark:

But seriously, I like this one it was simple, cute and fun.
Good job!

I really enjoyed the game play loop and the whale was really cute although one thing that could maybe be changed was the aiming a lot of times I got pinned down by enemies and couldn't turn around quickly. A suggestion is to have it as an upgrade possibly but overall I really loved the gameplay loop and it was done really well.

This was excellent! The reduced field of view and the tank controls made it feel really spooky and threatening, but the cute sprites made it quite funny as well. Nothing hugely innovative but very well-made overall! (And the music was great too.)

Fun game and cute graphics. I wish that enemies were not able to spawn on top of you though.

@fabighindaru @nigeynige @thoastbot @forestofcode thanks for the feedback! ( @forestofcode, some of the upgrades are rotation speed and acceleration, so it's possible to upgrade them. But it might be a bit too harsh early game)

Amazing game

I loved farming money to buy upgrades from a whale. :whale:

If there is treasures to find at 5000m I would definitely play this game for hours!

Awesome job. I loved it. Played really well. The only suggestion I might make if youre going to improve it is maybe not put enemies spawning near the whale so you can farm them and make it super easy that way you have to travel outside of him

Fun game. I included it in my compilation video series of a bunch of LDJAM games!

Super cute graphics, great music, and scary oceans. This was a super fun game! My only wish would be to be able to sell everything at once, maybe with the space key. Great work!

The music was really tense and the graphics was adorable. Had quite a bit of fun but I got tired of having to swim back up to buy X more depth stack so I can keep going down, I would of prefered to just stay up at the shop and grind until I get enough but there was no clear indicator if I'm done. Lovely game otherwise

Edit: Forgot to mention but I NEED that whale in a plushie now

Really cool! Music was nice, the gameplay is interesting as are the in-game feel effects (pressure backward from shooting for example). I only wish you could make money a bit faster.

This was really well done! One suggestion might be to encourage the player to explore a bit more rather than having enemies constantly spawning around the merchant, as you can just stay there and get more powerful.

I have a hard time making any suggestions on this one, as I feel the limiting reagent in this case was time. Given more time I believe these same mechanics could be fleshed out more, producing something even more fun.

Huge fan of the firing pushback mechanic, I treated it like it was my primary source of propulsion, which most of the time was great, but proved a double edged sword, as I found myself swarmed by enemies above and began rapidly firing to defend myself, only to fall below my max depth, and struggle to fight back with the arrow keys...

Great job, fun game.

What a nice game! Well done controls of the little sub. Especially the kick back from the torpedos. Some more variation would be nice to encourage you to dive deeper into the ozean.

Simple game idea but it works very well! The fact that the submarine is hard to control makes the combats really fun. The visuals may look minimalistic but you managed to set a cool mood for your game. Good job!
