Synchrony by SU YUHANG
Synchrony
A forest full of fireflies, each lost in its own rhythm. You are the one who remembers the beat. Fly to the pulse of the stars — move on beat to glide, stumble off-beat and crawl. Flash your signal near the wild ones and watch them slowly tune in, their chaotic flicker surrendering to order. Some lock to every beat. Some to every second. Some to every third. But when they all align on one golden moment — the whole world lights up together. Then the bats come.
How to Play
WASD — Fly (your speed depends on the star pulse — watch the ring around you) Space — Flash (tap on the beat to synchronize nearby fireflies) Hold Space — Charged flash (wider range) R — Restart level
Tips
Watch the shrinking ring around your firefly — press Space or move when it's smallest You don't need to keep flashing — once fireflies are synced, they maintain themselves Different colored fireflies sync to different rhythms, but they all share the same heartbeat The golden flash when everyone syncs together? That's your goal
About
Made solo for Ludum Dare 59 in 72 hours. Theme: Signal Engine: Godot 4 The synchronization mechanic is based on the Kuramoto model — the same math that explains how real fireflies sync in nature.

not sure how the bugs worked, wasn't sure if just you or you and the other bugs had to avoid it
if this gets turned into a bigger game, i think the background music should be more "to the beat" of the movement
Very good though for what little time it was made in
Make two suggestions, the leading can be bigger, it's a little unclear now. And why can't I go through the third level?
Good job!
