The Hive of Queen Bee-Atrice by Domenixius

Welcome little hatchling, to the Hive of Queen Bee-Atrice!
Now that you are a part of the hive you have to help support the queen until she has laid 3 eggs and you have brought them safely to the nest.
Listen to the various signals and react accordingly.
Feed the queen her favorite nectar. But beware of what she has a taste for at the moment. Is she feeling red or rather blue?
Stop the bugs from getting too close to the queen and maybe if you listen for the right sound you can snack on some honey to make yourself faster!
Above all else hide in the small pockets of shadow, when you hear the songbirds call!

Either way mechanics are still well made! Especially the hiding from birds, tho a little more warning would be appreciated. Sometimes I kinda just got ambushed lol.
There is also honey on the other corner of the map that acts as an upgrade but is only there for a short while after its signal is given.
My goal was to force the player to make a decision and weigh for what they have time and what is the most urgent at the time.
The balancing of the birds for sure needed more playtesting
Again thank you very much for playing!
The bird is little to hard, not sure how to escape it
In overall nice entry!
Congratulation!
Left you a rating
So cute
Yeah I wish I worked a little more on something akin to a tutorial... Were you able to hide from the birds or is that not clear at all how it works with the shadows? And were you able to get the new eggs that the queen sometimes spawns to the nest?

Gonna aim for the s-tier next time around! :muscle:
The game is well balanced, you need to think of 5 different things (birds, blue/red nectar, honey, bugs, birds) and 2-3 of those things at the same time. It keeps you busy all the time, it's very nice!
The sound design adds a lot to the mood, too!
I'm a bit sad the bird's shadow art is so pixelated/overscaled, but overall, you've done a really good job!
