Farming: The Card Game by Tom Rijnbeek

[raw]
made by Tom Rijnbeek for LD34 (COMPO)
In Farming: The Card Game, you tend a garden using cards provided to you. Keep an eye on the cards in your hand, or the game may just end before you know it. The controls are pretty self-explanatory, but there is a small in-game tutorial to help you through it.

Sadly, I couldn't really work out a great balance for the game, so it is really dependent on randomness what the result of your game is. I hope you still like the concept and please leave some feedback if you played the game. Thanks for playing!

Played a game, survived a while, but not too long. Didn't feel like there was a goal in sight - wasn't sure if I should be trying to plant as many things as possible, or just accumulate as much money as possible, though in the end I didn't have much of a choice in whether or not to plant those trees... Having a quick tutorial was great!

Finally,
a card game. Always love card games. You did a great job on the interface, the goal and audio is kinda missing. Overall good job

Loved the game. Much potencial there.
Found a bug, though. There seems to be a "invisible" weed decreasing de growth of my plants, even though I've removed them all, the -10% -20% penalties are still there.
