LichWitch: Long live the king by HappyTrollAngus

[raw]
made by HappyTrollAngus for Ludum Dare 59 (JAM)

This is a partially complete board game. We wrote down and digitized as much as we could. The rest lives in our heads. It's an asymmetrical RPG dungeon-crawler style Co-op game, involving rolling lots of dice.

If you'd like to playtest it, you would need to have an existing collection of RPG dice. Send me a message and I can fill in the rest of the rules that aren't currently digitized. I would be surprised if we get enough reviews to actually get a rating. But kudos to anyone who does! Much love to those committed enough to do a playtest of this game.

Card assets created using Card-Creatr Studio: https://cardcreatr.sffc.xyz/ We used the Alchemy and Gabriola templates.

Update: Created a workshop mod for Tabletop Simulator, which you could use for playtesting. Updated some assets using NanDeck, to make it easier to use with TTS. So some of the cards are a little more polished in the Mod than in the original submission, but the gameplay is the same.

Looks like I beat the dragon! I like the gameplay — it's simple and quick. Just download a pictures. The theme doesn't come across entirely, if you ask me, but the game itself is really cool. Good luck moving forward!

Thank you so much, @mc-shopot! I'm impressed you took the time to play it.

I agree, we wound up not really using the theme. That’s why I opted out of theme ratings.

Did you play solo, or with other people? Which class did you beat the dragon with?

No, unfortunately, there's no way to play it online or on a computer. By, "digitized" I meant we took our handwritten notes and got *most* of them typed up. You'd have to print it out to actually play it. And you'd need to have your own dice collection.

I don't expect to get a lot of ratings, but I really appreciate the few who take the time!
Thank you again, @mc-shopot

@itero-proto @zj798164639 Just updated! There is a workshop mod now, it is playable on TTS. Technically the mod wasn't created until after submission deadline, so don't feel obligated to give a rating. But feel free to playtest it.

It's pretty fun once you figure out how to play, but the rulebook and other pdfs need some serious work on their presentation! The artwork on the enemy cards is very endearing, I wish the rest of the documents had similar presentation.
