How to Play

WASD — move around
To collect a Thought, just walk into it.
To throw a Thought out of your Backpack, hold Space and scroll the mouse wheel back and forth to switch between Thoughts.

How to Win

The Megabrain gives you Thoughts in a specific order.
To build the phrase correctly, you must remember that order and throw the Thoughts into the Speech Apparatus in the exact same order.

Date Mood

DATE MOOD gradually decreases over time.
You start with 100 DATE MOOD.
If you deliver all Thoughts, you get +20 DATE MOOD.
You also get +10 DATE MOOD for each Thought placed in the correct spot.

Lose / Win Conditions

If your DATE MOOD reaches 0, you lose.
If you finish all the phrases, you win.
There are 10 phrases in total.

You play as the last brain cell of a guy who’s going on a date!

Mega Brain comes up with cool lines, but the last brain cell struggles to get those thoughts to the speech apparatus! Along the way, the thoughts might get jumbled up or even lost—and then the date is definitely doomed!

Take on the role of the Last Brain Cell and help the guy have a great date!!

Haha, the title is amazing. The idea overall is great too — how did you even come up with this? It’s really funny!

Thanks!
I'm putting together a quick postmortem on this topic. In short, it was just a coincidence and a meme I remembered at the right moment, haha

Haha, great game! It’s a bit confusing at first, but once you play for a bit, you get the hang of the controls. The theme and humor are awesome!

I sometimes ran into an issue where I would immediately collect something again right after dropping it, which made it hard to deliver the thoughts properly. Also, some subtle background music with increasing tension could work really well.

Congrats on putting this together so well!

@anszwa Thank you! You're right, the music and sound effects really aren't enough. I even recorded all the voiceovers, but I didn't have time to edit them out. Maybe I'll add them after the jam :)

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to launch it due to an error related to Vulkan.
According to the rules, you are allowed to update the game after the submission date if it contains a critical bug that prevents it from launching.

Very fun, I love it!!!

I would appreciate more difference in words' colours so it would be possible to drop them right way.

Also, with some progression like power-ups or upgrades it would be a great one-evening game for a stream or a company if you add multiplayer!

This is hilarious. For full immersion, I recommend playing it at 2:00 AM like I did

Playing as the last brain cell trying to save a guy’s date is such a funny premise. The thought‑throwing mechanic feels chaotic in a good way.

Hilarious premise, little clunky but there's a charm to it, I think the controls could be explained a bit better and while the order of the spheres come out is fairly straightforward it might be best to clearly state that objective or to have the player initialize the thinking rather then relying on them looking the right way at all times, took me a couple of reloads to understand as I was too busy looking around.
