Controls

WASD to move

Mouse to look around

Left mouse button to shoot

Right mouse button to confirm commands

Hold Shift to enable the selection aura (used to select soldiers)

Keys 1–6 to issue different commands to your soldiers

Once a group is selected, you don’t need to reselect a command repeatedly. After choosing a command once, you can continue issuing it with right click.

Objective You are the commander of a platoon that has been pushed back to its final camp. After eliminating the enemy commander, their forces have fallen into disarray. Use the signals you and your soldiers have trained for to coordinate effectively and eliminate the remaining enemy units.

You are faster than a standard soldier, but less durable. Enemy forces consist of regular troops and heavily armored units with increased health, requiring careful positioning and coordination to defeat.

Great use of the theme! The difficulty might be a little high, but its a lot of fun!

The idea is interesting, but the difficulty is greatly overestimated, I die almost immediately when meeting an opponent. I tried to order them to shoot and bring the enemies to the fire of the allies, but it's not convenient to tell your own people to shoot into the distance, you need to set a target for everyone.

Super cool use of the theme, there are obviously a few things that would be better with some polish like the soldier movement and difficulty but other things like the minimap were a very useful additions. Overall I had fun, nice entry, really nice idea.

Yeah the Difficulty is a problem game felt to easy so i lowered the Players health last minute, just now realized that its to hard now... sorry about that

I think the theme is explored quite well here. It feels like a concept that could definitely grow into a full game, and I’d be really interested to see where you could take it.

There are a few balance issues at the moment — for example, the player health feels a bit too low — but that seems totally fixable with some tuning.

Overall, it was an interesting experience, and I enjoyed playing it!

Nice idea and execution of team based tactics.

There could have been in-game hints at the keyboard commands so it would have been independent of the ludum page.

It was fun to move the units around and make them shoot... and distract the enemy fire yourself while the executioner squad keep picking off the enemies.

In game graphics were good pixelart and the symbols were clear. The game was pretty quiet and some sound effects would have gone a long way to create more mood and character for it.

Still, it was nice and quick fun 😊

I like that the idea is that you are not Rambo but you have to use your platoon, kinda reminded me of the original concept behind the Brothers in Arms game, I think that if you polish your AI (enemy attack smart, npcs take cover, etc) you can have something really interesting

Really great game idea. I would love to see this developed further, theres definitely potential for some interesting tactical levels.

I think giving the obstacles collision could add a lot, since it would force players to position their squads more strategically so they can provide supporting fire.

I like the concept of being an actual commander on the ground in an RTS format. The major thing holding this game back is the camera. It's really hard to see ahead of the player so by the time the enemies are on screen either you or your soldiers are already half-dead from taking incoming damage. That being said, I love the pixel art! The soldier and commander sprites are especially well done, the art style is really charming. Who doesn't wanna dance with the boys? This could be fleshed out into something more substantial, nice job!
