Synopsis

A game where you spend too much time listening to a very verbose cat talk.

You awake in a prison cell with no recollection of what happened, with only a cat to talk to.

Why is there a cat here with you? Why were you imprisoned? Can you find a way to escape?

Warning While not a horror game, contains somewhat 'spooky' elements.

### Supported Languages ### - English - Simplified Chinese (No-one would be crazy enough to add localization to a game jam game, right...?)

This is fixed, thanks!
First time using itch.io and forgot to change the state to 'publish'!

A very original idea for interpreting the concept of "signal"! Congratulations on your work!

Fun idea. It would've benefited a lot from having sounds. Obviously voice acting is going to be out of scope for a jam, but being able to notice the car overheating from an audio cue as well as the eyes and text would've been great. Also, maybe a bit of a nitpick, having support for WASD & E in addition to arrows & enter would've been great, using arrows with you left hand and a mouse with your right hand is a bit awkward.

Incredible atmosphere. I could not even get the infos from the bed as i was too scared to hurt Mr Catington. Very original take on the point and click genre.

Very fun idea! I love the cats expression when scanning :D. I found it a little bit annoying, that one has to read through the whole text again, if the cat exploded. Overall a very unique game play. well done!

Idk how you come up with idea like this. Pure insanity. Really good writing which easliy carried the whole play time. Overall enjoyed this alot.

幽默且好有意思的设定,玩的时候总是沉浸于看文字不小心把猫搞炸了!

It was hard for me to keep torturing the poor kitty :') But we've made it out so all is well

Very funny and innovative idea, also goes with the theme very well! Maybe some music and sound effects could help with the mood tho? But overall very fun game!

Nice idea, but to understand the limit which cat can withstand only by shaking is a bit unpleasant. Also that super red glow and the letters is hard to read.

A really unique idea! I had difficulty squeezing the life out of the cat but was impressed by the whole concept. As someone else mentioned, it felt a bit awkward only being able to hit Enter and the arrow keys. I do think WASD support would have helped and I did want to click through the text as well rather than always hitting Enter. Great job!

Interesting game, I liked being able to name the cat! I had a rough start because I didn't know how long to use his scan and kept getting confused, until I figured out I can hold him until his sprite changed. Maybe having the emissive light grow brighter over time as well as the shaking animation getting faster. I found the eyes bulging very funny, and the cat weapon is a nice fellow. Nice 2D artwork translated into 3D space, worked well. Good work!

I can't figure out how to progress after scanning the bed.

Pretty fun little game. Unfortunately I exploded the cat more than once, and couldn't bring myself to go through all the scanning again the second time since I was basically done when he exploded.

The text scrolling could be a little slower. I read pretty fast and had trouble keeping up sometimes. I liked the cute cat and the art style was nice!
