Signal Protocol: RTS//Lite

A fast-paced RTS-lite where you don’t command armies, you command decisions.

In Signal Protocol, every second matters. Manage energy, deploy INF/DEF/OPS structures, and adapt your strategy in real time as the battlefield constantly evolves.

There are no massive armies or heavy micromanagement, only you, your core system, and the pressure of optimizing every tick.

Build quickly. Defend smarter. Strike at the perfect moment.
Whoever controls the flow controls the match.

Controls (TIC-80 Gamepad) (Sorry gamepads are mandatory :/ maybe in the post-mortem i'll change that)

  • Move cursor: D-Pad
  • Create INFANTERY building: Button Y
  • Create DEFENSE building: Button X
  • Create Special OPS building: Button A
  • Cancel / Back / Sell: Button B

Design Notes

  • The game is designed for simultaneous local multiplayer.
  • Each player operates their own action zones and building slots.
  • Energy flow and timing are the core strategic resource.
  • The game has many known and unknown bugs. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time to test it, as I was working alone, and making a 2-player strategy game wasn’t the best idea haha, but I was aware of the risk. However, there are no bugs that make the game unplayable.

Pretty neat ideas, maybe showing the button location instead of the symbol would help to know which button does what, my "Y" was swapped dans ended up messing my strategies. had fun and great potential!

Making a RTS, especially a multi-player RTS is impressive. I did not understood everything but the style is great, good job.

I don't have a gamepad, so unfortunately I cannot play it. Make sure to rate others people's games to get a rating at the end :) Looks great though!
