Twilight Bark by Capreola

cover.jpg Remember Twilight Bark from "One Hundred and One Dalmatians"? We know dogs can send each other messages to the farthest parts of the country using a clever system similar to Morse code. But every dog is different and has their own quirks. Some of them can't hear very well, and others like to add their own stuff to the message. Your job will be to ensure that every message is delivered correctly.

Build a chain of dogs to deliver a message, but keep in mind their little quirks!

The dog is adorable, and the game has a strong logical structure!

I liked it, thanks for writing the tips, but I would like to know what kind of secret knowledge they transmit and at the end I would like to know what the dogs are talking about

@alexey-bobrovskiy haha, thanks! The secret message they are passing around is shown at the top, in the "Message to send" field

Very cute game, the pixel art for the dogs was really endearing. The messages translating and making them sound like revolutionaries was pretty funny.

I found the it to be somewhat confusing initially as there's not really an indication of what's going on aside from being told to right click to see dogs traits (Which is a really cool way to define how the message is sent) but upon placing them in their houses I started to see what was going on.

Personally I had a hard time unwrapping all the logic sequences in my head and keeping track of which pup did what and I did resort a little to trial and error when I was close to some solves lol.

Lovely little game though, nice work!

Good puzzle. Not much UX: a lot of popups, it was enough to display the description when hovering; the location of the dog occurs if you click closer to the center of the field. Good art. Thank you!

P.S. Thanks for the opportunity to play directly in the browser!

I really struggled at first to get to know hot to set the dogs. After a few seconds I found out, my browser tricked me!
I really like the art and thanks for the opportunity to play in browser!

Had a remarkable amount of trouble with that last one, had to get out pen and paper. Very crisp little puzzler, just slightly bumpy UX. Maybe mouseover rather than right click for dog attributes?

Yes, it's a little confusing at first, but after a few mistakes you get the hang of it. Really, a good puzzle, good theme, and cute graphics.

Very nice game! The dogs are adorable! I found it quite challanging (had to use the solutions for 2 or 3 levels) but overall it was really fun! Thank you for sharing!

Alright those pixel dogs are ADORABLE, I love them all, and the messages you've got to send were hilarious. I really liked this game! And just the right amount of brainpower needed to solve the pups order.

They’re so cute in the translation! I love the puppies, and each one’s little personality is adorable too.

A very cute game!
I liked the interpretation of the theme.
I’d also suggest keeping the messages on screen a bit longer—I don’t have enough time to read and process them before they disappear.

It’s an interesting puzzle idea with clear logic. For some reason, I tried to fully piece everything together in my head, placing the dogs and seeing what would happen, even though I realized I could just experiment with the message to reach the correct result. The music is great and fits the game very well, but I’d probably like to hear some additional sound effects. The dogs are adorable - I really liked this game!

this is absolutely adorable! i spent some time just looking of the dogs instead of solving puzzles :D
for some reason it was easier for me to just test different combinations of dogs than to plan them. maybe if their personality was shown not on the click but maybe somewhere on the right or left of the screen on hover that would be easier, otherwise it was a bit difficult for me to keep all the information in mind. but the very puzzle mechanics is top-notch!

i also got a bit stuck on "loose last word" trying to understand what is "loose" here :) if i understand correctly, that shoul be "loses"?

had fun, want to cuddle all these sweet dogs!! my cat might have some questions :D

@gamayun-games yes, you're right, it's supposed to be "loses". I think it even was at the beginning, but then I was changing the wording around, and it became a bit of a mess. Sorry for the confusion, and thank you for playing and for the kind words!

Really cute. Love the pixel art and the little bits of flavour text about the dogs. Really clean UI as well. Core conceit is tightly scoped and competently executed.

A feature that let's you view the output of the chain when you don't have all slots filled would have been nice - although it would make the game significantly easier so maybe not such a good idea.

Really, really good use of the theme - the only 5* for theme I've given out so far!

I loved the dogs. Their tooltips were great. I only wish they barked the code, even if it was just arcade beeps.
