Signal Home by Providence
Hey everyone. I really wanted to get this done in time, but bugs and scope creep kinda killed me ngl. I am really feeling this project so imma continue updating it on my itch [https://trueprovidence.itch.io/signal-home]. It's pretty rough and unfinished, but I wanted to post it nonetheless since I'm not a wimp. All grahpics, mechanics and sounds were handcrafted, so I hope you'll enjoy this tech demo xP I see the shaders bug out on the web version.. that's a damn shame too...
Controls: - Click any object to interact with it. Currently only the computer, bell, headphones and interface (left) do anything. - When you've clicked on the computer or interface you can use WASD or IJKL or arrow keys to input a code or control the drone - E is the interact button for the drone - Clicking on the headset makes you hear from the drone's perspective Re-clicking an object disables it
Setting: You're a doorman in a lab in the middle of nowhere. You've fallen asleep on the job and everyone went home. Your best friend locked you in as a practical joke. The doors are all locked and the codes are scrambled. You have to check each door with your drone in order to get the code to open them with your interface (on your left). Your goal is to get out of the lab without getting eaten by the possibly escaped experiment. (Escape is currently WIP so I guess it's purgatory :) )
Current feature roadmap: Monster that paths to sounds - DONE Scrolling left and right with mouse - DONE Snapping camera to in-use device - WIP Drone controls - DONE Door music minigame - DONE Visible keypad - WIP Music and SoundFX - Mostly done Interactible highlights - DONE Graphics - Mostly done Win condition - WIP Lose condition - Mostly done Drone breaking - WIP Collectible items - WIP Tutorial note - WIP

But well done on the art and style. It's an interesting idea for sure, and a great take on the theme!
