🗼LIGHTHOUSE DEFENCE🌊

Defend your lighthouse, upgrade it into a transmission tower, and send a signal that reaches the stars.

🔵 Description

You are the keeper of a lone lighthouse at the edge of the world. Every night, waves of creatures attack. You fight them off, protect the tower, and survive.

Every 5 levels, a boss appears. Defeat it to obtain rare parts and upgrade your lighthouse.

But this is more than just defense. Your lighthouse evolves into a transmission tower.

You send a SIGNAL.

At first, someone responds… but they can’t help you. Your signal is too weak. You are redirected further.

And further. And further.

Upgrade your tower. Extend your reach. Break through the silence.

Send the SIGNAL across the darkness.

Send the SIGNAL until it reaches the stars.

And maybe… someone will finally come.

Great atmosphere and gameplay! It seemed to me that I lacked a goal, why should I fight off enemies, but I played with interest.

I managed to survive the boss, then I lost.
It would have been cool if the lighthouse was a little lower.
Good job!

The controls are tricky and the last wave seems a little bit too hard, but still, I like the depth and ability to strategize :)

nice soundtrack, easy controls, but i'd suggest to input arrow combinations from WASD as well. Deep gameplay 👍

After the sixth wave, I was quickly overwhelmed, but it's my fault for not keeping up with the waves. Good difficulty progression, good graphics, and relaxed gameplay. Overall, it's a great vibe.

Fun game! I'm curious, what did you use to make the voxel graphics?

The tower defense feels really good to play (except for the UI panels that constantly need to be closed in a non-obvious way). I’d like to reach the end, but I’ve already tried twice and my best is wave 6, after which the difficulty curve spikes sharply and I get overwhelmed.
Also, it’s often hard to see when enemies are attacking the beacon because of the 3D camera.

UPD: I decided to give it another try, and I’m happy to report that the difficulty is actually fine. I just didn’t understand the mechanic for preventing the big wave at the beginning (where you need to quickly enter the code).
Once I figured it out, everything became pretty easy. The last wave got shredded in about 5 seconds 🙂

Fun little game! I was able to get all the way to the end and extracted safely! Love the voxel style graphics.

I invested heavily in the money towers early and it made late game feel super easy. I had a ton of maxed out towers and lvl 30 something player damage so I was able to absolutely destroy the enemies lol.

A very fun game, I had a similar idea for a jam, but I thought I wouldn't be able to pull it off in 3 days, so even more respect

Fun game! I really liked the wave mechanic on the microwave, hahaha. I’m curious though why didn’t we get to see a giant Cthulhu? It felt like it was made for this game! But overall, I enjoyed it. It looks cool and plays well too.

The graphics are good and the difficulty scales nicely. One critique I have is that it wasn't obvious to me you needed to close the build menu in order to be able to shoot.

Oh man I really enjoyed this game!

It's awesome that there's a clear tutorial, a solid goal, and good progression in difficulty and development - you guys clearly put enough thought into that. The controls could be a bit simpler since there are quite a few buttons and windows but at least everything is labeled so it didn't take me long to figure things out ; )

The voxel graphics look fantastic! And the whole atmosphere of spending time on a lonely island with a lighthouse is super chill so the music and sounds really pull you in. I especially loved the part with the boss and the huge swarm of enemies.

Amazing work, congrats everyone!

- How many mechanics are there in your jam game?
- Yes

This is the experience of playing TD maps in Warcraft 3.
We play as the old man and kill Pepe, fine.
You've got a really addictive game!
The turrets should to be made destructible.
You should completely transfer the experience of building labyrinths from Warcraft 3.

If you fix the balance, I'll play endless mode.

It turned out to be a cool game, it wasn't complex enough, but it can be improved, finalized, and made into a sequel. You could add a roguelike feel, like cards from which you choose what to build in this wave or throw into the available ones.

When I launched the game for the first time, the build menu wouldn’t open for some reason — neither with B nor with 2. I ended up clicking the icon instead. After the first loss, it started working.

The first time, I got confused with the upgrade — I pressed the icon with "U" and upgraded the tower itself. Only later did I realize that turret upgrades are in the build menu. I had to earn more money in the following waves just to get through the tutorial 😅

I still don’t quite understand how "Income" works. Also, it’s a bit odd that the character can walk on water 🙂

It would also be more convenient if, when a code needs to be entered in a tower, there were some kind of sound cue and the message above it was highlighted more clearly — I didn’t notice it right away. Maybe it would be better to show this kind of warning in the center of the screen so it’s more obvious.

Overall, it’s surprisingly fun to play 👍

I played a few times but haven’t finished it yet. Might come back to it later
