Hey, so the game isn’t loading on my side. The loading bar fills up, but the game doesn’t start :(

The game doesn't seem to load on the Ludum Dare page for me. Not sure if it's just on my end, but figured I'd mention it!

Also not working for me unfortunately for the same reason as @morc.

It's a very simple game.
There's no especially gameplay features here. Just a kitten being naughty :)

I love the art style, but i think i don't really know what to do in the game xD I kinda pressed random stuff and made it to Night 2l i think more feedback on actions would be great, or at least some kind tutorial at the start? But it is good and looks promising

heh I loved this use of the theme. I would have liked a keyboard shortcut to send the signal, would be a lot easier to play. But saying that, it was a fun aiming system.

Having fully mouse-based controls was tricky due to the moving target. I was captured near the end of the third night. Liked the details with the poster and the cat food.

The idea is really cute, and the graphics fit the mood excellently. I'm not sure if I like that you can just spam the signal, especially if you use both mouse buttons. It does fit for the spirit of an annoying cat, but it made the aiming a bit pointless. The first time the alien approached felt like a trap, I'm not sure if many players survive their first encounter.

The game is really nostalgic for me, as a person who used to play a lot of flash games. It really resonates with me. Really great game. Continue coding!

@jajo @elemel @lohii Thank you! And yes, you're absolutely right. The UFO needs to be able to avoid the signal slightly. I use only mouse controll and this is not good. Bind signal to keyboard button is good idea. Maybe it will be beter to do it like in other shooters. The dish simply rotates with the cursor and you fire with a button. I don't have much experience in this and i am a slow. I hope that later I will release a post jam version where I will have finished everything properly.

I think it's kind of cool that you made all the graphics in MS paint. It would be good to have some gameplay feedback to show the player that they are on the right track. I wasn't really sure I was doing what I was supposed to.

Your timelapse video brought me here. It's a fun & simple game, I like the scope, love the art and the music is picked very well. The entry is funny as well, which gets additional points in my book. I'm not sure if there's any depth to the mechanics though, because to be honest I just spammed signal until the aliens fed me and then took me for reeducation. That's why initially I didn't even notice that I can move the satellite dish around.

Anyways, great entry, had fun playing, congrats!

@marudziik No, the gameplay isn't very deep. You need to constantly send signals to the UFO. But the UFO is busy and doesn't want to feed you. After many attempts, the UFO gives in and feeds you. But sometimes it gets really angry and can catch you! You need to close the window if the UFO tries to catch you. It's not all that obvious. I just didn't have time to explain it in the game. Perhaps if I described it properly, the game would be better. Thank you for playing very much! :)

@dontgiveupboy OMG I played again now and somehow I missed the initial (pretty obvious!) hint and that I can also click on the "hint" sign! :sweat_smile: Yeah that explanation makes way more sense. Btw. it's not against the rules to modify the entry page post-jam and add those instructions here if you're tight on time during the jam itself. Thanks!

I can't resist games with cats, had to check it out when I saw the MS-Paint art. The premise is adorable, sending "feed me" over to visitors from the stars until they either decide they've had enough and it's time to reeducate Kitty, (which I strongly suspect consists of the alien's comical antics trying to herd cats and Kitty generally being a little menace) or give up and hand over the good stuff right at my window. :fish:

I saw all 5 nights, I saw all 5 meals and I saw this is your first LD. In my books, you got a pretty strong start. You kept the play pretty simple and approachable, even with a decent number of moving parts. I see some instructions were added later for "taking cover", well appreciated on my playthrough. Another well appreciated feature was the text box, I'm glad the aliens give fair warning to me before coming over to my window.

You are not alone. Some other guys did'nt understand how to play. I think a most of people didn't notice the hint. That is weak hints i guess.
Yeasterday i played your game too, but did'nt finish it. I realy want to watch all story and plan to play it this evening.)
