YesNo Zen by Borodar

[raw]
made by Borodar for LD34 (COMPO)
YesNo - simple zen game with "Two Button Controls". The game will show you math equations, and you have to decide whether they are true or not.

Time is limited, complexity "Grows" (yep, i'm trying to argue to second theme :), so how quickly can you solve them?

despite the simplicity, it can actually be really tough. That timer really pushes you to work faster, and even though this is just math equations, its still a great game! Well done! I enjoy the music as well.

I like the music, soothing while I'm frantically getting basic math problems wrong.

I felt really proud of my math skills until I lost, haha. The music was nice too. Did it take long to compose?

You get a star for using GitHub. ;P

@danbolt, not so long, like hour or two, because it was not actually composing. I've used FL studio, a dosen of loops, arpeggiator and few mixer presets :)

I got semi jumpscare when I was focused on calculating and suddenly clicked wrong answer. The lose sound was so heart striking >_<
Liked the game concept and graphics!

Simple games are the best. Your game is fun to play and fits the theme(s). I like the idea and the mood created by the music very much. I would like to see keyboard control added instead of mouse only.

Very nice presentation and relaxing game. Even though I'm bad at math, I enjoyed it. As I said on the stream, I wish the sound for failure wasn't as harsh, as it does take the player out of the whole "zen" feeling that you're trying to create.

Simple but polished! I liked the little effects, like the button explosions and the fading text. Kind of expected some gag to happen when I clicked "No" for "want to play" at the start. :p Music is really soft and gets me in the zone, but boy does that error sound snap you out of it lol

My first two equations were both 1x1=1, so I was confused for a bit waiting for another one to appear!

Very relaxing game due to the music. Maybe at a buffer to how many times you can go wrong, because starting over with only one mistake feels a bit harsh on the later levels.

Well done!

Cool, nice take on the theme. It's a nice deviation from other games, I could be playing this for a long time.
