Jungle Climb by squirrelbot

[raw]
made by squirrelbot for LD34 (JAM)
Basic obstacle dodging game. Use A and D or the left and right arrow keys to move. Avoid the rocks. Unfortunately, I was busy this weekend, so you don't get my normal dark plot lines. :( Even worse, my team was busier, so I can't compete for art or audio. :( :( But I still have a game!

Character is a bit too slow in my opinion. Couldn't get really far.

Fun but I have little to say.
Maybe consider changing the lane immediatly instead of continous control.

Endless runner in classic art style. Environment and obstacles could use some more variation. Controls need reworking, with current scheme it was too hard to avoid obstacles.

Nice game. Although it's not created by you, the music was well chosen. There is some flickering on the top (it already happened to me, it's when you loop the background). You could solve it with bar showing the distance. (just a suggestion). And there's a restarting bug. When I hit R the game resets, but take me to the reset page again.

You can gain an infinite score by climbing on the edge of the wall ;)

Movement felt a bit too slow, perhaps instant lane changes would have been better - would also have stopped me hanging off the edge up to 4200 points :)

Fun runner! I couldn't tell if the boulders became more numerous or faster over time, but if you let the player see further ahead, you could probably increase the difficulty more over time. Currently, it's actually quite hard unless you use an exploit (standing on the very edge of the level).

Wow, really hard game. I couldn't react fast enough to get out of the way of boulders.

Nice graphics and music (even if not made by you).

Good tutorial, no explanation needed.

Interesting, but you basically need the reaction time of a cat on lsd to get very far!
